The 'No Surrender' Checklist

by Mr.Swainey » 19 Nov 2014 12:08

Defining England:

Singing anti-IRA songs [/]
Can't even sell out an allocation at Scotland [/]
Claiming to be the best set of fans in the world [/]
Looking like nobs [/]
Club Crest/Name on a St.George's Flag [/]
Taking a Union Jack [/]

All of them checked, apart from being the best set of fans in the world, all of them appear to be true.

Celebrating the first 2 goals in the home end 8) 8) 8)

Got bored after 60 mins and thought I'd try my hand at getting in the England end, piece of cake - stewards let me in straight away.

Massive thank you to the Police Scotland officer who refused to let me (& any other England fans) leave with 80 minutes played - without his intervention, I'd have missed the incredible scenes following Rooney's 2nd

Are you familiar with the ticket policy used for England away games?

England fans loyalty scheme is setup, much like the royalty points system for Reading

The full away allocation sold out

EF (The FA) made a last minute decision to make it that all away tickets had to be collected in person in Glasgow by the registered EF member, with photo ID etc. There was 10-15% of the EF fans who'd bought tickets for someone else (as happens will all schemes) who then had to cancel their tickets, as they themselves weren't travelling - hence the empty seats in the away end last night

Looking like knobs??

Must have turned a blind eye when some of the Jockland fans were being filmed then......looked like a load of stag weekenders in Blackpool. Fair fukks, England might have a few too many Reebok Classic/Top Man wearing face painting trippers these days but still not too shabby compared with most cringeworthy International teams fanbase gimps*.

* Except for Wembley home games.

Very rich for Reading fans to be digging out England's away support too

Twitter was good value last night - in the eyes of the English fans the better England played/scored the more Celtic/Irish the Scotland fans became.

Very Celtic/Irish round by me - England fans constantly referred to as "dirty British scum"

That's the thanks we get for bailing Scotland out.

I appreciate you go against the trend BF, you certainly don't fit into the image of the type of England fan with a 'Rangers/Chelsea Loyalist'* flag that I saw on my TV screen this morning - that is a cardinal sin. I didn't know much about the allocation and apparent ticketing fiasco, so thanks for clearing that up.

*might be Kes, must check.

Perhaps time to insert a shameless plug here about the excellent "Reading Loyalist" pin badges I'll be advertising for sale in the coming days/weeks (whenever I can get my arse into gear)

I'll give you a freebie one if you like

The England end last night was great fun! Overall both England and Scotland fans were having a great time together before/after the game and the police were no problem, great scenes after Rooney's second.

+ all the St. George's flags look great.
