Thoughts & prayers with Richard Herring & Jim Waterson at this, a most difficult time.

Winston Smith Wycombe Vs Cambridge could be the one to look for on the last day depending on what happens this weekend first

It's on!

Blackpool home to Orient so you would think they will be good for a play off place.

Hard to call the other. Carlisle are somewhat of a shambles and have a tough away game, Stevenage are home to Accrington but have struggled to win recently and are near the bottom of the form guide.

Love to see Millwall back up as decent away games are diminishing with every relegation and promotion!

League 2 is class - I just wish the ticket prices were cheaper and I'd be inclined to go to a few more games when I can. Can't justify £22 for Wycombe (for example) when a ticket in the Eamonn Dolan is £20

Presuming Blackpool will comfortably beat Leyton Orient that leaves one place up for grabs as I really can't see Carlisle getting anything at Exeter - although I would like them to. Therefore it has to be Stevenage to nick in doesn't it?

If they fail to do the business v Accrington then Colchester ( h v Yeovil), Cambridge & Wycombe (playing each other at Adams Park) stand by.

If all those have a bit of a disaster then Mansfield would seal it by claiming 3 points at Crawley,

Stevenage are on a poor run of form, they have lost 3 and drawn 2 of their last 5 games, 3 wins in the last 10. Accrington lost the last 2 but prior to that they and Portsmouth were the form teams in the division.

Got a feeling the winner of Wycombe Vs Cambridge will take a play off spot

Hartlepool sent down in the last minute. Thoughts are with Jeff at this difficult time.

What a last day in L2. Pompey champions after Doncaster and Plymouth bottled it. I wonder where the trophy and medals would be in a situation like that where all 3 teams could have won it. Must he held somewhere centrally and helicopters about.

I am sure I read once that whoever is highest up the table going into it has the real trophy at their ground and anyone else that could win it has a replica at their ground in case it is needed.

I remember reading about one season in Northern Ireland where there were 3 teams in with the chance of title on the final day.

Admittedly, the distances involved weren't greater than about 30 miles but the FA decided to stick the trophy in a car which sat in a layby midway between the grounds.

By half time one team was out of it so the car proceeded to hurtle up and down the same road depending on who was top of the table at the time. The title was decided by a last minute goal with the trophy hurtling at top speed towards the wrong ground 20 miles away.

Blackburn were relegated by virtue of 2 goals. Remember when Shane Duffy scored two own goals in one match earlier in the season? :?

Wasn't that when he was trying to force a move away..... and it was blatantly obvious he couldn't care about the team.

The smallest ever club in the football League I believe. The population of Nailsworth is about 5500. Wasn't the previous smallest town to host league football Glossop?
