Silver Fox Son’s goal was at least as offside as Henderson’s “winner” against Everton, yet VAR somehow gave it an immediate thumbs up. Although maybe I’m imagining things as the pundits didn’t seem bothered at all
There's really got to be a better way of communicating how a decision has been made. There was the Salah goal disallowed last week for offside but they'd drawn the line at the defender's foot, and not his armpit as we've been told is in play.
Son looked bang in line to me - although that might be because, at least to my eye, there was only one line on the screen.
I've said it before but I really think there should be a permanent record of VAR decisions made available after games, with the actual stills the officials see (with the thinner lines), and a commentary on the decision made.
