John Smith
Old Man Andrews .

Well, well, well we are already a quarter of the way through the season with the leagues starting to take shape and already give us some idea of where teams are likely to finish. Some absolute corkers this weekend and would love to get your predictions on the following:

Fleetwood v Ipswich
Crewe v Exeter
Chesterfield v Eastleigh
Havant and Waterlooville v Hemel Hempstead

Fleetwood v Ipswich - Ipswich have remembered what it is like to win again. I can't see them not winning the league this season and I see a fairly comfortable away win here. 1-3 Ipswich.

Crewe v Exeter - The top 2 in League 2 go head to head in what should be a very exciting game. Crewe have taken a lot of people by surprise this season and Exeter have really kicked on from last season. Can see this one being an exciting draw. 2-2

Chesterfield v Eastleigh - Chesterfield are still pretty horrendous, right down the bottom of the National League. Eastleigh aren't that great either. I am going to pick Chesterfield to get a home win here though but it will be tight. 1-0 home win.

Havant and Waterlooville v Hemel Hempstead - 2nd v 3rd in the National League South. Should be a grerat match, two attacking sides who will be right up there at the end of the season. I am going to go for an away win here. 1-2 Hemel.

New rule in action. Glentoran player gets a second yellow card, and a red, after ignoring the referee's request to leave the pitch at the nearest point when substituted.

Good on the referee. Players need to show more respect and the new rules need to be implemented to the letter.

Did they go down to ten men or could the substitution still happen?

No they are down to 10 men. The substitution hadn't been completed at the time.

I'd love to see this happen in the premiership.

It's getting rather mixed usage so far in the Football League - Patrick Bamford was spat at walking past Millwall fans at the weekend, and for another game, I forget which, police asked that the new rule not be observed for safety reasons.

But yeah, in general, a thumbs up.

Considering the bloke wasn't exactly dawdling off it seems a bit much to give him a second yellow, the ref's got himself on national telly though so I'm sure he's delighted

It was about him not going to the side of the pitch the ref told him to go off on. He ignored the referee's instructions and thought he was above the laws of the game. Clear dissent .

You're both right of course by the letter of the law but I think a bit of common sense should have been applied
