On the train they are. East Croydon - Brighton. Old rivalry stretching back to the 70s (60s?)

Cardiff are on one hell of a run here

Also Southend beat 2nd placed Forest Green away, having also recently beaten 6th place Newport and drawn with top of the league Cambridge.

Bolton also really turned their season around in the last few weeks. They were scrapping near the bottom of L2 for a fair chunk of the season but now cant stop winning and are 2 points outside the play offs. Bradford also doing similar.

It’s not how you start the race, it’s how you end it...although can still see us getting a playoff spot

Good recovery from Bolton, albeit League Two is very tight - they went from 19th to 9th by winning four consecutive games, and are still only 10 points ahead of Stevenage in 20th.

There's also a very weird symmetry to the top of the table right now. Every team down to 10th is 1 point behind the place above. :D

Cambridge 52
Forest Green 51
Cheltenham 50
Morecambe 49
Tranmere 48
Newport 47
Exeter 46
Salford 45
Bolton 44
Carlisle 43

Top of the table Cambridge have lost as many games (9) as 19th-placed Mansfield.

Really interesting league this season, wish we could see more of it on Sky tbh. It is such a hard league to bet on, the very worst teams end up beating the top sides quite often.

Just seen that Marcus Maddison is playing for Bolton now. That's a pretty quick fall from grace! I know he's always had a questionable attitude, but he was League One's hottest prospect two seasons ago.

Yep, Southend have ruined a few these last few weeks!

L1 is also pretty close outside the playoffs, could be a huge bun fight there - lot of teams have games on hand on each other though so not as definitive

Every weekend I wait for Cambridge to start dropping down the table as their results are often not all that impressive, but they have played more games than anyone else and that seems to be just enough to keep them in the automatic spots

Burton's recent good run has also made the bottom of L1 interesting as there is no team cut adrift and the team who are bottom can win and leap out of the relegation zone altogether

means there is bound to be some 6 pointers coming up too

Hope Oxford come up. Would be great to have that game to look forward to

Kassam to County Ground = 32.9M
Kassam to Madejski Stadium = 25.4M

The true massive rivalry would be back on!

+1 to that - not many other teams near the top of L1 which looks a particularly appealing fixture, I suppose anyone but Hull would do!

Hope Posh come back up again, and I hope when they next hit a tough patch they don't decide Darren Ferguson isn't the man for them.

URZZZZ Fair play to Man City (can’t find a single thread for them) - had written them off after last season and the start to this one but they’ve been magnificent since Christmas time

Not blowing away teams like they used to with plenty of 1-0s but their defensive record is superb (again, credit to Stones, another player written off by many, including myself, maybe hope for Dier there  ). Can’t imagine they’ve conceded more than 2/3 goals in their last 10/11 games

Very much like Liverpool last season, who I think recorded something like 12 or 13 single goal victories.

City's defensive record is even better than you imagine - since they lost 2-0 at Spurs, they have conceded four goals in 17 league games. In all competitions, it is 7 in 25 games. Which is nuts. And one of those was Cheltenham in the FA Cup.

First home goal conceded today since the 15th December - first home goal conceded to an opposition player since the 8th November and finally first open play goal conceded at home since the 27th September - fantastic records

City looked a bit leggy today - midweek trip wouldn’t have helped but you have to give lots of credit to West Ham - simply outstanding to a man, those who had written them off for a top four spot may just have to rethink

Mental scenes today with Brighton.

Whistle blew to take a freekick, they did and the ref blew it again because it was too quick but they scored, he then gave the goal but VAR took it away.

How was it "too quick" if the ref had blown for it to be taken? Not critising you - just don't understand.
