Notwithstanding that Chelsea were down to ten men, it's pretty astonishing of Thiago to set a successful passes record (75) in his first 45 minutes of PL football (and 90% accuracy too).

Strictly speaking not weekend football but a number of Leyton Orient players have tested positive for Coronavirus

Certainly puts their game into doubt tomorrow and also a wider context as to whether carrying on the season is going to be feasible for the current time. Personally think it should carry on but at what point does it become impossible if too many players are testing positive

You just get on with it. Football is far too important to cancel.

I think I read that in Ligue 1, individual clubs need to have 20 of their selected squad of 30 testing negative for a game to go ahead - but yes - if you had half the league's teams with 7 or 8 players testing positive, it would be a different consideration altogether.

Just done a massive    when I realised Liam Delap on Man Cities bench is Rory Delaps son and he didn't even stop playing football that long ago

Probably got the wrong end of the stick here but surely if one member of a team turns out positive; the whole team should be in isolation because they’ve been in close contact etc

Could be well off the mark here though but surely it’ll all just turn into one huge domino effect

No draws yet in the Prem. Obviously draws are the least likely scenario but still find that rather unlikely in a sample size of 18 games

The idea with COVID is that as all players are being tested every few days, the clubs have a 'live' picture of the level of infection. Seems to completely ignore incubation periods though!

Now reported that 'the majority' of Orient's first-team squad have tested positive. Don't know what that means for their opponents over the last couple of weeks.

Orient v Spurs has been called off/postponed due to the COVID infections within the squad.

By the rules Spurs should be awarded a walkover, but it appears the club has agreed only to a postponement at this stage, which is rather good of the club given its fixture congestion.

Jonjo shelvey looked like a right oxf*rd knobhead when he scored in an empty stadium and started shushing and giving the old cup my hand over my ear celebration

Game seems to be gearing more towards counter attacking teams succeeding

You had Leicester last week at City, West Ham and Villa today

Possession is fine but only if you make use of it. You leave yourself too exploited with a bad pass and you’ll pay for it. Can see Mourinho really doing something with Spurs this season as he seems to have a good balance between defence and attack, even with a pretty poor defence

Was just wondering whether I should have a few quid on Spurs to win the league.

The Reading/Spurs double is 713/1 with Betfred...
