....looked like Spurs woke up to the fact with about 15' left, that they might finish behind the @rse yet again and decided to go all 'reverse-Spursy'....

Not sure if slinging on Lucas and Gareth was bold or desperate or just plain-lucky or a bit of all three. Winks 'tactical' booking showed they did at least care about how awful they'd been, up until then.

I thought the 'Filberts' were also fading badly at that point anyway and couldn't get re-started, once Sanchez made up for his earlier gaffe and forced the Kasper og.

Fulham seemed to pick up valuable points December/January/February time but aside from that, they’ve been pretty pathetic all season, especially at home. Weren’t thumped too many times but simply had an atrocious offensive record. Some stats to go along with that:

- Just 9 home goals scored all season (2 games where they scored 2 goals too)
- Therefore, 12/19 home goals without a goal!
- 3 home goals in their last 13 games
- Second top scorer amounted just 4 goals all season

Fulham should have looked to emulate what Burnley did with their approach when they went down and back up but the constant signings and upheaval within the club simply hasn’t worked. Simply doesn’t work making so many signings each summer but they never seem to learn, just don’t get it

Good. They’re a twats club.

Not a patch on Brentford.

Kinda. Their signings this season obviously improved the side - Areola, Andersen and Tosin an obvious upgrade at the back, Robinson always a threat on the left and Reed arguably their best outfield player. Lemina goes back to Southampton with his reputation enhanced, and Lookman put in a good shift, although his form was patchy.

It was up front that they struggled, and that was the one area where the personnel was the same - Mitrovic looks like one of those players who will always score hatfuls in the Championship, but be ineffective in a higher league. Cavaleiro another. In fact Fulham specialise in them, as Knockaert was such a player last season.

They just lacked that tactical something to find the goals that they needed.

I see some brain dead idiot from the Wolves game racially abused Rio Ferdinand yesterday, got promptly chucked out and arrested.

I know this marks me down as a rabid Tory, or something like that, but until this sort of thing meets a six month jail sentence, it will keep happening.

That's it though isn't it. Areola and Andersen have been decent signings granted, although not sure that Tosin and Robinson have been much of an upgrade on what they originally had. Bryan scored both playoff final goals - and for what - 7 league starts this season, behind a player who was relegated to L1 last season! Then you also have to consider Tete, Kongola, Aina, Loftus Cheek, Maja etc etc - none of which really worked

If you overhaul your squad to the extent to which you're bringing in 11/12 new players in each summer, don't be surprised when you keep finding yourself relegated each time. Sure, individual quality may increase but team cohesion is a massive part of football and it's never healthy to do what they did

Compare that to Leeds who only brought in four new players to the squad (Koch, Llorente, Raphinha, Rodrigo). Look at the contrasting seasons of the two teams

Mind, not sure Parker is a great manager. Inflexible and struggles to adapt. Constantly play themselves into trouble passing from the back - but never seem to change their ways. Some call it "respectable" and "brave" - whereas I just think it's incredibly naive

Yep

This "social media break" has predictably turned out to be pretty futile

I don't think that's where you go with that.

Shirley a rabid Tory would be looking for Rio to serve the sentence.

Personally, I'm with you - send them down, show that there's a price to pay for racism

Go to prison for name-calling?

Do you see any issues with that?
