Brilliant for Harrogate, a well deserved win - did you see the 4th goal, absolute comedy defending from Southend.

Small mention on result of the day for the “gas” almost getting over the line at Sunderland, fell to an 82nd minute equaliser after having led since the 3rd minute.

Southend look good value to go down at 9/2

They must have heard a whistle from somewhere. The defender just stopped with the ball at his feet on the edge of the 6yd box and the keeper made no attempt to stop the shot which was hardly top corner.

Either that or they downed tools in protest at the shambles the club has become.

Mind you, the third goal was a joke with a Southend player lying poleaxed in the penalty area playing everyone onside and the ref allowing play to continue.

Trouble is that so many players stay down to try to halt the game that it’s difficult to tell whether they are really hurt. A large proportion stay down holding their head when they’ve had a nudge on the ankle.

He was flat on his back, arms outstretched on the edge of the 6yd box. I though the protocol in those circumstances was to stop the game for a suspected head injury.

I think, if you read it again, you’ll see that I wasn’t suggesting he wasn’t hurt but that it’s getting increasingly difficult to tell which ones are really hurt and those that are simply trying to stop the game

I believe the defender stopped as it was a goalkick and the opposition had a player in the penalty area, he took this to be against the laws of the game so was not bothering to do anything and was looking over to the linesman. The laws actually state that if the keeper decides to take the goalkick before an oppo player has had reasonable amount of time to get out of the box then it stands.

Decent scoreline from Stoke at Wolves tonight

Stoke are a bit of a strange team, seem to do better against the better teams as O’Neill seems more of a well organised manager with a solid defensive structure

Entitled to his opinions...just a bit of an antagonist ....and a pcnut to the average man.

Lennon will snap him up as his shoe-shine boy when the time is right.

That’s if Lennon survives long there, get the feeling he isn’t particularly well liked

Nobodies “well liked” these days unless they are winning 3 or 4 nil every game.

Cannot see Lennon getting the Rangers gig either lol

Result of the round? I'm going for Brentford winning 2-0 at Southampton, with Southampton fielding a full strength team.

Good win for Cardiff but think this has to go to Cambridge

Lamouchi isn’t lasting much longer at Forest though unless they improve quickly, if reports are to be believed, he wasn’t too far off the sack from their dramatic collapse last season

Lamouchi and Cocu leading the sack race atm.
