AthleticoSpizz ...a day late but

PNE’s result, pained to say.

That, and another Wycombe win coming from behind at Brum.....seven points from nine...manager of the month stuff (except Gareth A hasn’t been there for their two wins...courtesy of an op, I believe).

On Preston, they have won every away game so far this year, so I don't think it was too much of a surprise.

Apart from the one they didn’t (2-2 at Norwich).

Ok, well they're still unbeaten and that result came against one of the better teams in the league.

Indeed...great for Marine...’crazy mad’ but always look for their results, having (in days of yore) regularly passing by their ground on the train to Hightown

One or two oddities in the mix keeping it interesting.

Never “result of the day” more of a NL crossover tbf, but another win today, and Hungerford are top of the NLS
Only saved from relegation last season due to the covid cessations....the ex Thatcham Town manager has fitted in sucessfully thus far....great stuff

Thought there were big financial problems last season at Hungerford leading to them cutting the playing squad budget etc. Is that correct, have those problems been overcome now?

Ah, the joys of Altcar I presume.

One side of Marine's ground backs on to a row of houses and they have the house numbers painted on the perimeter wall so they know which one to go to to retrieve the ball when someone hoofs it out.

...soz no idea without serious delving - they've certainly had a big clear out of players and seem to have been fortunate with recent recruitment.
Lots of mentions of fundraising & lottery grants etc on their websites so maybe they've been able to re-align their finances.

Think this has to go to Southend, only their third away win since January 2019 against a team that before today, had only lost once in the league

Cannot think of a better team to have broken their ‘duck’ against

Well done Shrimpers.

That was a fishy joke

Would it be really picky to say that a duck is a bird and shrimp are crustaceans?
No fish involved

I appreciate you’re trying to be funny (although not succeeding) and backing that up with a bit of trolling, but try thinking about (or even researching) your quotes.

Shrimp are, indeed, crustaceans, not fish.
I think you’re going to find crab and lobster in the fish aisle. Are you going to argue that they’re fish ?
