Lee Johnson doing some seriously impressive stuff at Sunderland. They looked in a mess not long ago and sacked Parky, now they have gone on such a good run that with 9 left to play the title is theirs to lose

Posh Vs Sunderland next weekend. Hull vs Sunderland in 3 weeks time

Play off contenders go all the way down to 13th too

Exciting times at the top of league 1!

Assuming it’s West Brom and Fulham who join United, and let’s say for the sake of it, Bournemouth and Watford go back up (which is fairly feasible), the 21/22 Prem will be the exact same as the 19/20 one with the exception of Leeds replacing Sheffield United - looks like money prevails

97th minute Arsenal equaliser may have done for Fulham. 6 back still and Burnley and Brighton have 2 games in hand.

Can’t maintain their concentration over 90 minutes

Taking first half statistics alone, in 2021, they’ve played 18 league games, and yet have only conceded in the first half 4 times and been losing 3 times in the first half

Even in the last three games, they’ve conceded very late in all of them

I’m sure a certain someone will be disappointed to hear they’re heading for the drop

Pepe the Horseman Think the only way Newcastle will survive is if they change manager. But Ashley doesn't seem to be in any hurry to do that.

This hasn’t aged well

League 1 play offs looking really interesting. Hull as good as up and Posh looking like 2nd place is theirs.

Sunderland in 3rd are on a terrible run of form but look far enough ahead of 7th to be sure of a play off place. Lincoln looked to have blown it somewhat after their early season great results, but have now picked up again just in time and also look very good for a play off spot. Blackpool were mid table until recently but went on a sensational run to get up to the play offs. Adkins also doing a good job at Charlton and has them up in 6th.

Oxford and Pompey look to be the 2 team who could get in there, but the latter are on a terrible run and have dropped out.

Oxford blowing a lead to end up losing last night to AFC Wimbledon, with James Henry (who lives in the next road to me!) getting sent off, didn't help.

5 of the bottom 6 last night in L1 all won!

Bristol Rovers are as good as gone. Things also looking bleak for Swindon. Teams above are in decent form, could be a cracking final day

We need someone to read up on Swindon and report it on here. I read something the other day about how their owner is stitching them up and sending them down, while trying to make as much as he can in the process. Sounded like they are in a huge mess. Something about getting a new training ground approved then taking it for his own building development.

Is that it for Derby?! Absolutely horrendous result for them last night!

Rotherham have 3 games in hand and sit 4 points behind...

Last day of the season: Derby v Sheffield Wednesday!

Would love Derby to go down but don't feel right now it will happen. Everytime I think Rotherham are in a position to catch up in those in front, they lose badly.

Derby Still have Birmingham & Wednesday to play. Fair chance they will pick up points from one of those 2 games, and if they do then Rotherham may have to win 3 of the last 6 games, which feels a bit much.

If Derby were just 1 point further back it would feel quite different due to the GD

Rotherhams Fixtures are Barnsley, Boro, Brentford, Blackburn, Luton & Cardiff. Not a great set of fixtures, but they could be playing some of these when they have nothing to play for so who knows I guess!

So by your logic you'd want them to stay up then?

absolutely nothing against Rotherham (or Derby). Pleased it is an exciting finish. At a push, I'd like Rotherham to survive.

+1 really although depending on the outcome of our next two fixtures, it may be in our interests for Derby to get a result at Swansea
