Possible Brexit bonus ahead.

Apparently, as the UK is no longer in the EU and Freedom of Movement doesn't exist - any foreign manager/player wanting to work in the UK and even clubs coming in for a game need a visa of some form.

The UKG could refuse to give visas to anyone not participating in an officially sanctioned competition - so the English clubs would essentially have to play every ESL game in mainland Europe or further afield.

May of course be beneficial for some owners.

Until the inevitable legal challenge means they can't be.

Though as the video posted earlier stated, I doubt the club owners would give a shiny one if their players are banned.

I imagine they will simply note their unhappiness whilst not proposing any form of sanction or way forward.

Would love it if they voted to do something and the PL acted on it but let's face it, that won't happen.

Depends if players think losing the ability to play in a world cup is something they care about for general sporting reasons, or for some, whether not playing for their national team damages their image rights.

Does for example Harry Kane lose english sponsorship deals if he doesnt play for england at a world cup?

Do EA sports drop players who arent in the PL?

They don't need any votes to sanction the 6 clubs, but I think 14 is the majority needed to vote through a new rule change in the PL

delicious.... :D

There is actually a chance Reading could get promoted out of this isnt there.

What is that chance, more than zero %.

So there is a chance!

I'm all in favour. Who wouldnt want to be in the Not So Premier League?

This Super League is going to look even less appealing when the 15-20th teams invited in are from the Middle East or US

I am having a cynical moment where I'm now wondering if the Super League proposal is bogus and just a way for UEFA to push through the Champions League changes without any opposition as now it's suddenly the lesser of two evils

Format wise the ESL is far superior to the new Champions league.

Its just all the closed shop element of it that is terrible IMO.

The new look champions league is just so bad. A league where you only play 1/3 of the teams, why not just have 3 league then? Its a mess.

Letting in teams who havent qualified based on past success, thats not much different to the closed shop. Both ideas are bad.

I just find the big clubs are so fuill of B/S. Constantly complaining about fixture congestion. So what happens, more and more champions leage / ESL games proposed. If that's the case, maybe tell your managers to stop complaining about fixture congestion.
