Hendo
Old Man Andrews Good round up.

Zlatan is incredible, impressed me in each game I have seen him play this season. It is nice to see Milan up the top of Serie A after so many years away from challenging. They were my Italian team during the Channel 4 Italian football era growing up.

Saw a good Zlatan stat the other day...

He has played for 6 clubs who have won the Champions League, having never actually won the trophy himself.

That's a mad stat simply that he has never won the CL - am sure at one point he had won ten league titles in a row at various clubs.

Real Madrid lose 1-2 at home to Alaves, leaving them 4th, and six points behind leaders Sociedad. Meanwhile Barcelona are back in 14th  albeit with two games in hand, which would see them draw level with Real.

This is a very odd 'project'. Murcia is a club primarily of players from the region in Spain. Their owners want to increase the club's profile, which they want to do by signing lots of short-term deals with well-known players. One of those such deals is Lescott - although amusingly he has noted that he 'didn't know' he had signed yet, and was considering it. Lescott is being asked only to play in one match for Murcia, in their Copa Del Rey game with Levante.

They are also trying to sign convince Samuel Eto'o to come out of retirement for a brief spell.

Barca lose again. 3 points above the relegation zone now

early days but Atletico looking very much like it's theirs to lose right now. Really hope Sociedad can keep this up and finish in the top 4

As a confirmed hater of the big two in Spain I am loving their league this season, Barca need a complete overhaul and Madrid are just Madrid, argumentative, self entitled nonces.

It is technically unsporting behaviour due to him essentially taking the piss out of the opposition in the way he scored.

Nothing, the ref has had a nightmare here. The day we start seeing players booked for actually scoring goals is the day the game has fully gone.

If its classed as unsporting behaviour then you should be booked for taking Panenka penalties as well as that could also be considered taking the piss.

Disagree there, the panenka is a strike at goal and has a high level of risk attached to it. If you can successfully disguise it and score then that is a skill imo. Under the laws of the game the referee is technically correct but I do disagree with it, I don't think the scoring of a goal should fall under the catagory of unsporting behaviour. The player in this instance just looks like a bit of a nob which is punishment enough.

Ok yeah, maybe not the Panenka, but certainly that passing penalty that Arsenal tired and failed a number of years ago.

No diffo in what he did and that thing goalkeepers do when they put their hands down near the ball and wait for the attacker to run in until they pick it up
