Kitson wants out

by UpNorth » 07 Oct 2008 08:11

Yes, after three months Kitson is unhappy and wants to return south. So much for chasing the premiership dream. Perhaps he is hoping that Fulham or another premiership club will come in for him.

If we are going to lose Doyle why don't we do a deal in January to bring him back??

no thanks as much as i love him and what he did for us it's kind of nice not having any injury prone players (on top of Murty!).

Unsettled Stoke striker Dave Kitson is considering his future at the club after only three months at the Britannia Stadium because he is not enjoying life in the north. (Daily Mirror)

LOL at Stoke being in the north.

Can't say I blame him though. Being played out of position. Being booed by Stoke neanderthals despite working his socks off. And having to live in Stoke.. He threw a paddy on Saturday when he was subbed off so I wouldn't be surpised if he is dropped for the next game.

Still a Reading legend and one of my favourite all time players. Shame he went to Stoke though - I feel a bit sorry for him. The supposed "targets" that Pulis wanted never materialised and if he thought he got no service at Reading last year, it's nothing in comparison to this year.

Oh and all the Stoke fans thinks he wants to move back to Reading anyway..

But he won't get in the starting lineup. Regardless of who is the better player, the best PARTNERSHIP we have seen for a long while is Doyle and NHunt. Let's just hope it is still the best partnership at the start of February.

Yep, but not to say i wouldn't have him back. Lita out, Kitson in would be an improvement on the squad.

Coppell did say that that he never wanted Kitson to leave, but we'd probably have to buy him at the price we sold for him.. so for that i think we're out.

Platypuss I can think of 5 million reasons why it won't happen.

Firstly the fee there was supposedly £4m plus some extra if Stoke stay up. So that's £4m, near enough.
Secondly I think we can reasonably argue that his time at Stoke has made him a worse player.
Thirdly, the fact that a player wants to leave usually depresses the fee a bit.
So I reckon we're down to about £3m.

But then, we'd already demonstrated we were willing to pay £300k for him once.
And we made him a better player.

So there are only 5 million reasons if you're counting in 50p pieces......
