The last round before the 1st round proper was drawn today and Hampton got Brackley Town at Home, should be a victory but you can never tell in the cup.

Every year, I follow the progress of the most local team to me as my FA Cup "other team" and once they get beaten I move on tho their conquerers - this year's teams (in order) have been Reading Town FC, Brockenhurst FC, Fleet Town FC (2 rounds) and now AFC Totton. AFC Totton are away at Grays in the 4th qualifying round so I'll probably be switching allegiances again.

For the other non-league folllowers on here:

Basingstoke are in 3rd qualifying round replay away at Bashley - the winners to play Bury Town
Maidenhead lost away at Bashley in the 2nd qualifying round
FC United lost at home to Nantwich FC in the 1st qualifying round

Finally, last year's minnow Chasetown FC lost to Evesham United in the 3rd qualifying round.

For the sheer poetry of the tie, I've always wanted us to draw Yeading in the cup.

No doubt HaroLOLd will claim that he's was on a wind-up to try and cover up the fact that he's the most retarded, insatiable bore on HNA?...

For all your gardening needs head to Chris Spedding's fledgling Yeading Bedding, Edging, Hedging and Shedding in Yeading, not Reading

By the way its actually Hayes and Yeading now which somehow diminishes the poetry...

Paul Brayson with a hat trick in the last round for the aforementioned.

For a club that doesn't take the FA Cup seriously, you sure do get your knickers in a twist over an obvious wind-up attempt.

And there it is, the usual get out clause. You wouldn't know a good wind up if it stood in front of you in luminous yellow, shouting "I'm a good wind up" at the top of it's lungs and hitting you in the face with a big stick.
