Not suprised, bad weather on Saturday.

Used to hate games being called off, anti-climax and all that.

Right, as it's Xmas it's time for a quiz. For all you know-alls who slag off RTFC and his beloved team. how much do you really know about Reading Town? One point for each correct answer, and no RTFC, you're barred from entering.

Reading Town Christmas Quiz

1. What is the name of Reading Town's home ground?

2. What League do Reading Town play in? (full league name including sponsor reguired to get the point)

3. What League did they play in last season (full league name again chaps)?

4. Who are Reading Town's kit sponsors?

5. Who is Reading Town's top scorer this season?

6. Who currently plays number 9 for Reading Town?

7. Reading Town recently beat Pegasus Juniors 3-0. Where are Pegasus Juniors based?

8. Who is Reading Town's manager?

9. What do Reading Town's most ardent supporters call themselves?

10. And what colour flag do they fly at home games?

Good luck and Merry Xmas to all - Answers will be posted here on Friday 19th.

Very, very good, I've obviously pitched the bar too low here, but at least it saves me posting the answers on Friday. Of course you can add some bonus questions, and they do look very tough indeed. Do you think you should bar jocombes (aka RTFC) though - he is simply champing at the bit to answer these!?

... Not at all - I'm sure Little Drummer Boy is itching to answer the bonus questions - I think he'll find Question 2 a bit tough - bearing in mind his hardly blemish-free spelling record  - then again he could always look the answer up in a Town programme?

... and he might need a bit of help with questions 5. & 6. since they probably pre-date his direct 'love' of the Town?

It's a much bigger step than you all think, playing teams who are a long way away like Almondsbury, Harrow Hill etc. Leave at 11 or 12 and get back at 7or9 which is a long hard day so tbh you can't lol the league Reading Town are in.

I just did. I get the feeling they're no worse than Pennington, Dukinfield, Stockport, Rochdale etc from Manchester, although I'll grant you that teams (apparently) refuse promotion as the required ground improvements will cost too much.

And I'll LOL again, just for good measure
LOL

At a guess - AFC Wimbledon? I remember the chaos caused in Sandhurst for AFCW's first ever game - 3,000+ people turned up (or something like that).

Ok, after checking my collection of 3 old RTFC programmes (yes 'fraid I've been too):-

1. Jonathan Hazell's nickname is Nutty (obviously)

2. I guess Patrick Moore must be Zeph Chukwudum

3. Chertsey Town

4. Dunno

5. AFC Wimbledon

6. Withdean 2000 and AFC Wallingford
