Old Man Andrews I am never normally in favour of large clubs helping out small clubs in financial difficulties but they simply have to if supporters aren't allowed back in to stadiums soon. The National League and the couple of leagues below will simply fold if they are not given financial support.

I think its Levels 3-6 that are most vulnerable (L1 down). Levels 7 and below are actually doing very well out of this with all the increased attendances. They also dont have contracted players in the most part.

Yep absolutely, it is going to be the National League and National League North and South. Can see a lot of clubs dying or dropping down to the base of the pyramid.

Some good news concerning Macclesfield...

A local businessman Robert Smethurst has acquired the assets of Macclesfield Town.

The Club will maintain the historic brand and logo under the new name of Macclesfield FC.

Danny Whitaker will become first team manager.

Apparently, Robbie Savage is on the board of the new phoenix club.

Good luck to them!

Savage is in what amounts to a DoF role.

Maybe they can buy the stadium back off Chansiri for a quid and then sell it back to him for 3 times its value again.

Or, considering he's on £50,000 a week, they could charge Jordan,Rhodes rent for his spot on the bench.

So sell it back for £3 - a profit of £2

Derby County's chief executive has told the first-team squad that the club is unable to currently afford to pay them their outstanding wages from December, but is working to address the problem.

Is that despite selling their ground for an inflated price and ‘getting away with it’, allegedly

Is this a pre-emptive "we're shit so probably going down anyway, maybe we can swerve some debts by going into administration this season"?

Spanish newspapers full of stories of Barca being on the brink of something bad. €1.1B of debt

Also confirmed today that the players wages from December, that they had agreed to delay by a month, have not been paid this month as it should have been. The club say they are aiming to pay that in February now.

Yeah, I'm slightly worried this morning if I'm a Burnley fan. Certainly relegation becomes totally unpalatable from a financial standpoint, doesn't it? On the basis of that article, can see them losing Turf Moor and becoming a Coventry City, unless they manage to maintain their lower mid-table home.

But at least Sean Dyche will still be manager.

Suning, the Chinese company that owns Inter Milan in all sorts of financial trouble. As a result this week they have liquidated Jiangsu, the Chinese Super League club they owned.

Claims that Inter may not be able to fulfil transfer payments, including a whopper to Man Utd for Lukaku. Probs just journalists doing their usual sh*t stirring on that.

£49m expenditure?

That's bonkers for a Championship club that's not been in the PL for decades and has had just 4 top 10 finishes in 10 years.
