Keeping a player against his will won't be brilliant for the team ethic. I would also suggest that Liverpool look a better side without Suarez, I thought they looked very impressive towards the end of last season with Sturridge up top.

If I was Liverpool, I would've taken the £40mil from Arsenal and reinvested it in the squad. £40mil for a player with Suarez's disciplinary issues seemed a ridiculous offer to me!

They looked ok without him, but there can’t be much doubt that he’s the best player at the club. Rodgers has said the side and playing style was and is built around him.

There’s obviously more going on behind the scenes, just strikes me sometimes these clubs bow to player demands a little easily, and that then sets precedent, players’ contracts seem to be worth very little. I can see it might affect team ethic, but then everything you hear out of Anfield is how loved Suarez is at the club, by his team-mates, people who work at the club, and the fans.

LOLz @ Tony Fernandes on twitter saying he was pleased to announce that Bosingwa has left the club - there will be no players left at this rate!

Park has gone on a season loan as well. Jamie O'Hara is on trial from Wolves. They will still end up with a top Championship side!

But they will make that back with the sale of Ronaldo and the shirt sales of Bale BUT i still don't think he's as good as the price makes him out to be. He's had 1½ good seasons - needs more than that

I don't think so, to be honest. Last season Bale played pretty much just as well as Ronaldo did in his last season for United.
Gareth Bale is easily in the top 20 best players in the world, hell even top 10.

Given that the offer is a world record, shouldn't Bale be the best player in the world to justify it?

Bale is not half as good as people think, don't get me wrong he is an excellent player, but it's easy to look good and stand out in a half decent club, try doing it when your surrounded by just as good if not better players
