Hendo
Sanguine Chelsea likely to add Kai Havertz

Signed yesterday. There is a lot of hype around him but I haven’t really seen him play.

Chelsea are going to be really interesting to watch this season.

Seen a lot of him, he's the real deal. Not sure Chelsea necessarily needed him though, would have suited Liverpool more in terms of their style of play and needs.

***Jorge Mendes bank account klaxon***

Wolves reportedly about to sign Fabio Silva, Porto centre forward who had just turned 18 and has made 11 league appearances scoring 1 goal, for €40M plus add ons

That’s crazy. €40m for someone who has scored 1 goal.

Release clause and Porto said pay it or GTFO?

I refuse to believe that because according to the experts, Mike Ashley doesn’t spend a penny (of course, ignoring the 80/90 million last year on their front three alone)

Not really, much like a Sports Direct warehouse, the Gallowgate End is full of big mugs.

Up until 2018 he had a total net spend of £32M in his 10 years there while increasing club debt by a sizable amount, giving sports direct free advertising and relegating the club twice.

Maintaining the level of on the field success that Newcastle have been accustomed to for most of the last 50 years then.

They fcuking loved him when he was downing pints in the away end. I think my point is a fair one. Bunch of provincial mugs with unrealistic expectations and delusions of grandeur.

I do get that newcastle fans are knuckleheads, but can also understand their gripes when they see the glory on offer from the league they are in, the amount of fans they have each week yet see smaller clubs outspend and outperform them.

That pretty much sums up the last half century for Newcastle bar the Shearer years.

Really surprised Callum Wilson is going to Newcastle, seems a bit better than that.

He's only had one decent season in the Premier League hasn't he? Otherwise a 5-10 goals a season striker.

Think he is a better player than that imo, think he could do a job in a top 6 side. Would have been a good back up striker at Spurs or United.

If he was 4 years younger I'd probably agree as I'd think he'd get better and more consistent. But at 28 that one good season sticks out as the outlier not the ones surrounding it. But with Bournemouth being that bad last season its maybe harsh to point at his goal tally.

Not the player he was since his significant injury.
His greatest asset was speed over short distances but that seems to have gone however if he somehow can get that back he might be worth the £20 million outlay to Newcastle.

A friendly outgoing sort (not much of a golfer though) who should fit in well.

Maybe I should cut him a bit of slack. Players can take a season or so to fully get going again after serious injuries.

Liverpool are considering allowing Rhian Brewster to leave on a permanent deal in this transfer window, with the possible protection of a buy-back clause.

 :?
