Apparently the Qataris think they can enslave people in Europe the same way they do in their own country.

Still, it's nice of Perez to chase arguably the most expensive player in the world 2 months after pleading poverty.

Were I Mbappe, those comments alone would ensure I never signed another contract at PSG. Unfortunately I'm sure Minguella will negotiate something ridiculous and he'll end up wasting another two or three years in Ligue 1.

Have you got your AI robot programmed to post this at the start of every transfer window?

From Despair To Where? Buendia to Villa for £32m. Hmm. Norwich already talking about being frugal next season and then selling their main playmaker. Think it's going to be a long season for them.

Decent player - surprised they managed to hold onto him for so long

I guess that Norwich operate in a somewhat similar way to how Brentford did - find cheaper replacements for any sales that are above market value

Recall Burnley going up, then down, then up in three consecutive seasons (around 2015 maybe), and they've been a mainstay ever since - so perhaps Norwich can use their past experience to follow a similar pattern

Yep - don't see why he'd want to stay at PSG - little competition domestically (aside from this freak season) and serial bottlers in the Champions League. Sure a fair few teams would be willing to take the gamble on his wages

yeah can see Grealish going this summer, would think there is some sort of agreement in place regarding a set fee he can be released for. If I were the new Spurs manager I would be doing all I could to get Grealish in, exactly what they need.

Grealish in and Dele Ali out would be very good business for Spurs.

Can see one of the big boys taking a punt on Dele Alli, there is a decent player in there. Think his early success went to his head and he lost focus. Wonder if Poch might try and get him in on the cheap at PSG?

Genuinely don't see that as much, if any, step up for Grealish tbh.

:?: :?: :?: :?:

Spurs are a massive step up provided they are in the right managerial hands and providing they keep Kane, they are only a decent defence and a Jack Grealish away from challenging IMO.

For sure, there is a very good player there. Has had some very productive seasons for Spurs but probably just needs a change of club to re-start his career.

Think he'd do pretty well at Arsenal, tbh.

I don't think it would be a massive step up for Grealish, in terms of his own personal performance. He is already playing at a level that Spurs should be looking to recruit. Obviously Spurs is a decent step up from Villa. Agree that they aren't that far away from being decent challengers, really need to sort the defence out though.

They could really have done with Conte as their manager, would have sorted out the defence in no time. Guarantee he wanted a certain amount of money to spend and Levy said no.

My biggest concern with Norwich is that they've gone back up with pretty much the same squad as 18/19. I don't see too much evolution there and that squad wasn't good enough last time they were in the Premiership.

Playing careers are short and this next contract will take him into his prime years. The 2 clubs both are not in danger of going down and both didn't qualify for europe, finishing only 7 points apart from each other. Spurs have no manager and their best player has publicly stated he wants to leave.

When he has arguably the biggest decision and move to make in his whole career, I really don't see Spurs as being a big step up that justifies leaving his boyhood club
