Cavani is a far better all round player than Falcao and fitter too. I don't think Cavani will start all the time but he will be good for the squad, proven at the very top level.

Only a season long deal as well, so pretty low risk if it doesn’t work out.

2) Spurs
3) Liverpool

Partey looks a good signing but I have my doubts, he made the most errors leading to goals over the last few years (26).

Also, letting your long-serving club mascot go the same day you spend £45m on a player doesn't really sit well with me

I think Gunnersaurus will be back, there seems to be a lot of outrage amongst the supporters.

Why did they let a mascot go?

200 bags a week (for a player no-one else wanted) to sit on the bench

Also, he'll be going straight in as Martial has a three game ban. Let's hope he's match fit

The board haven't backed Olé and he'll likely be sacked by xmas (rinse & repeat with next manager)

Danny Welbeck & Jack Wilshere both have their contracts terminated

Wilshere really needs to go somewhere with hot weather and slow football

Could be a good signing as he is a different kind of striker from what they already have and £10 million or so in wages is peanuts for them.
Hopefully he will prove to be more of a Falcao level of success than that of Ibrahimovic or Larssen.

I don't know Mr I know everything, you tell me.

Normally mascots aren't contracted to a club like players.

I might be stretching some examples to make a point, but it's evident to me the impact of COVID on the transfer market, not just in the players who haven't moved like Sancho, but in the players who have.

James, Bale, Suarez, Rakitic, Thiago - combined transfer fees in the region of £33m, with the first three being two frees and a loan deal. Now sure, you've got there players who may have already peaked, or have been injured or are past their best, but that's still five top tier players who have moved for next to nothing (even Thiago's fee alone seems cut price) - evident to me that clubs are beginning to experience problems of 'bloat' that they have been saving up for a few years, and are now having to shed wages before recruiting new players.

Said a while back either on here or irl that I heard some pundit say that what would happen is that the transfers that are typically hard to make suddenly become much easier as no one wants high wages hanging around anymore while not contributing

Goalscorer in the EFL, broadly a goal every other game for Huddersfield, Charlton (League One) and Crawley. But he looked nowhere for Huddersfield in the PL before they went down.

Forgive me if I’m wrong, but I am presuming you mean Grant looked no where near ready for the Prem in that last sentence. In his defence, he did manage to get 4 goals in 13 games which equates to approximately 12 goals a season, which isn’t bad for such a struggling team

I think he’s obviously a better option than Zohore, Austin and Kanu but not sure he’s got enough about him to keep West Brom up
