Kitsondinho Liverpool have had a bid for Shane Long rejected by Saints. Liverpool fans going mental that the club has even bid for him......Dunno why, he has scored at the Kop end before, unlike most of their strikers!

actually agree with that. I am sure there are better out there but his work rate, low price (in modern terms) and availability in january could make him a good fit for how Klopper likes to play. for 6 months anyway.

Long wouldn't be a bad signing imo. I'd prefer him at Chelsea rather than that mercenary Falcao.

BR was on goals on Sunday yesterday. He admitted that it was difficult for Liverpool to get top top players these days - as they prefer to go to bigger clubs such as Arsenal or Chelsea.

Do Liverpool only have one scout, and he's based on the South Coast?

Yep, location plays a part, as does money, but ultimately success is driving the transfer market.

Interesting comment from Rodgers that FSG's model is ultimately about scouting world-class potential to make a future profit on, as oppose to building and nurturing a title winning side. In a sense Sterling (whilst bought prior to FSG) is the epitome of their strategy.

those things don't have to be mutually exclusive though. Look at Porto as an example.

This.

Doesn't say much about Benteke's chances.

They are when you spend the windfall on the likes of Markovic (Suarez) and Benteke (Sterling).

I am not trying to suggest that Liverpool have been successful at it.

Some football transfer detail leaked online

https://footballleaks2015.wordpress.com/

Spurs get first refusal if Bale is sold to a Premier club and a £10M pound sell-on fee if a premier league club buy him. A clause that Bale not criticise Tottenham, and a requirement that Real Madrid are the only club to give a press conference on his move and that they are allowed to say will say it is €87M and not the real payment of €100M

Ramires reportedly on his way to some Chinese club for £25M. would seem odd considering he is 28 years old and a regular at international level.

That football leaks website has Ozil's move to Arsenal on there. The reported £42.5M is showing as £32.5M with a further £760,000 payment each time Arsenal qualify for the champions league in the next 6 years.
