I hope so, it's a rare thing to see a team set up to score goals rather than to stop the other lot from doing so.

Me <3 Diego.

The Greece goalie's playing a blinder so far but I'll say 2 - 0 to the Argies.

Well it's all been a bit shit so far, but fair play to Otto Rehaggel for doing what he's doing. If that's how he thinks he will get a result then good on ya, stick one up the arses of the buggers who think an inferior team should come out and "have a go"...

INteresting* thing from last night's game, the argies weren't all wearing the same kit! Some of their shirts had the ridiculous shoulder holster design worn by the French and some didn't. I have no pictures to prove this.

There was something really sweet about Martin Palermo scoring.

Thaumagurist* First goal was handball. There was some really shocking refereeing decisions last night, most of them were in favour of the Argies.

Greece were unlucky, but they would have needed to win 2-0 or more to go through.

How were they unlucky? They had every man behind the ball almost the whole game and only at 2-0 down did they decide to have a couple of shots on goal. That isn't unlucky. They were well prepared and played for a draw.

Man marking Messi is the way forward FWIW.

I also like Argentina's tactics of "Give ball to Messi, let him cause chaos, have someone else score"

The french have been the same, some have it some don't. Guess its the same for all those wearing adidas kits. What is the benefit of the insulation tape anyway?

Rehhaggel quits following Greece's exit.

As Handbag's suggests above, a quality manager quite prepared to make a pragmatic purse out of a sow's ear. That'll be it from Greece for a while then.
