Royal Rother That surprises me a bit seeing as you favour McDermott being replaced.

I don't really have any interest in Maidenhead and don't really know the goings on there

McDermott deserves the benefit of the doubt but just from whats gone on it strikes me as someone who is losing the plot.

But again my care factor is near enough zero.

Ah, you're Didcot of course. Sorry, got you mixed up with Floyd. (That deserves another sorry!)

....here's this w/e 'local' NL games - BUT expect the weather to decimate or (just for us 'pendants') worse  - games already getting called off over in the East of the country (Essex specifically Sarfend way) and some SFL ones being called off already.

..if I've counted proper-like - I make it 5 CCL clubs; 4 Hellenic; 3 South Mids; 2 Western and 6 from the Wessex league

... fully expect the weather or the Orbital Traffic Jam to ph£ck up any attempt to get to a new ground in the Vase - but the current over-ambitious aim is to try and reach Rye v S.Park. :?

Another excellent away win for Windsor, this time 1-0 away at "high-flying" Molesey.

Backs to the wall stuff for much of the last hour on a bit of a bog but they showed real character and an appetite for the battle.

Great stuff, back up to 9th (although we've played more games than most).

... got to the first one on the list above - our first choice being the second on the list :? - was postponed early AM. Routine win for Lordswood (Kent League) over their Essex League estuary oppos from Sarfend. Ground was in a very large sports complex @ the SE/arse end of Chatham/Rainham/Gillingham - very tricky to get there from the nearest M'way (M2) jn 3 but at least the M25 was mercifully well-behaved for once - back home again by 18:30.
Of the 20 'featured' clubs from leagues that I consider to be 'local' & mentioned in my Preview; so far only I think only 8 have progressed to the last 32 with Guernsey (hardly local but CCL) playing tomorrow.

He's tidy enough but won't pull up any trees.

Used to be a (decent but somewhat frustrating - aren't they all?) left winger with Windsor & Eton but played central midfield for Windsor FC, which surprised us all. Rarely got near the penalty area. Looked like Keith Scott had told him never, under any circumstances, to leave the middle of the park, or indeed to pass the ball forward. (I exaggerate of course.)

RR, you are not exaggerating. One thing that can be guaranteed is that Joe will pick up needless yellow cards for dissent. And Keith Scott at Maidenhead? That's funny. Very funny. As far as I know, he will not get a gig with any club locally. His name and reputation precedes him

Diddy are now 3rd from bottom in the league :| Bizarre really because they are very close to having a really good side, problem is they've got no squad depth and 2 of their best players have been missing recently and they've lost every game. Bit frustrating because with everyone available they should be looking at the top of the league not the bottom, got to get a result tomorrow night otherwise alarm bells.

Yep it's their fault Diddy are in this league anyway :P Nah, got no dosh and got a manager with no contacts so the squad has about 15 players in it of which their 3 best ones are injured.

Is the Brazilian keeper still at Didcot?

Apparently he sent his CV to just about every club in the South and only Didcot offered him chance. Shame for the others that they didnt look him up properly, if they did they'd have seen that he played for Gremio! He looked miles better than a Step 4 keeper in the 1 game i saw him play.

Marcos Belloli Perreira? :) Yeah he's still there and although a tad eccentric as you'd imagine he is as you say pretty decent. Certainly better than the clown they had last year.

I like the fact Diddy's 2nd choice keeper is Mauro Perreira as well :D

You could do a lot worse and get Keith Scott in. He is highly regarded and respected in local football circles
