LWJ Yes, we report them on our system the same as we would have previously (C2 - Dissent), though the clubs no longer have to pay fines like they used to for the caution. So there's a good benefit for grassroots football as you found most clubs would pay the fine for the players.

I'm sure it's monitored and potential bans handed out to persistent offenders but not sure on numbers required.

Cheers LWJ, very informative.

He's not going to shag you.

But your sister will probably shag you, Kes. Run along now.

Fluctuating game yes, but Windsor were terrible again on Tuesday night.

Appointment of the new manager (likely still 2 weeks away) cannot come soon enough because I suspect this team would take us down. Some decent young players learning men’s football but some poor ones too.

The 2 full backs are liabilities. The right back has conceded 3 penalties already this season.

Nothing makes the trip to Tuffley (Gloucester) today seem like a sane move.

NL Results:
FA Cup 2019-20 1st Qualifying Round
Full results here:
http://www.thefa.com/competitions/thefacup/results

028 Banbury United 2-2 Gainsborough Trinity
SUN 058 Aylesbury United 0-3 Walthamstow
069 Chesham United 4-2 Fleet Town
071 Chertsey Town 4-1 Sheppey United
072 Chichester City 2-0 Chalfont St. Peter
073 Hartley Wintney 3-0 Spelthorne Sports
074 Bracknell Town 0-2 Carshalton Athletic att 294
SUN 075 Kingstonian 2-0 Walton Casuals
076 Leatherhead 2-2 Lewes
077 Hanwell Town 2-3 Staines Town
078 South Park 1-3 Badshot Lea
080 Whitehawk 0-1 Abbey Rangers
– two good results above for CCL sides away at higher ranked opposition

082 Haywards Heath Town 0-1 Hayes & Yeading United
083 Harrow Borough 5-0 BinfieldMoles undone by higher quality hosts who scored three in the last 15’
SUN 085 Cray Wanderers 2-1 Bedfont Sports
086 Westfield 0-1 Chipstead
090 Ashford United 0-3 Farnborough
092 Sutton Athletic 1-1 Flackwell Heath att 100
- Drove round a blissfully uncluttered M25 this PM for this. Hosts had scored bundles at home and had slaughtered STEP04 Ashford T. in the previous round.
- Ground out in the country side but inside the M25 nr Swanley – decent for STEP06 – small ish bar and a hard-worked kitchen producing hot Pasties, Saus. Rolls and Bacon/Egg Sarnies plus various other cold fillings - to order. Actually ran out of food before KO and someone was sent to the nearest grocery to re-stock for the H/t rush.
- The ‘Sutts’ from Div One of the South East Counties (Kent as was) took a lead late 1st half but ‘Heathens’ more streetwise and well-coached, got on top throughout the 2nd period and deservedly levelled to earn a replay.
- Flackwell made hard-work of it though and will want to despatch their STEP06 visitors in the return, to progress to what might be a decent tie against higher opponents. They’ll know their next opposition before Tuesday night when the replay is due at Magpie Lane.

100 Didcot Town 0-1 Poole Town att 257
104 Winchester City 0-3 Taunton Town att 234

Sandhurst Town 4-1 FC Deportivo Galicia

Blyth Spartans

vs

Kidderminster Harriers

in windy Croft Park.

Holiday left me with a spare day, and when I saw this was within easy* travel, it was on.

Reality was a somewhat attritional game, with few sparks. Blyth playing youngster Levi Amantchi up front, with all the effect and impact of Carlton Palmer. Also of note were the Blyth wingers, both about 5' 6" and built like bootnecks, fast and tricky, but somewhat dwarfed. Some good players in Kidderminsters front line, but the ball spent most of the time bobbling in midfield or being chased down the channels.

Equaliser, a very well taken freekick by Robbie Dale (650 appearances, 200+ goals), was the high point.

Popped over the park to see Sandhurst stuff Deportivo Galicia 4.1
Fizzers also missed a pen
DG had a player sent off after he told the ref that he was "having a mare"
Good to see Sandhurst having a good start to the season but i think they'll slip when they start to play some of the more able teams

Windsor appoint former Windsor and Eton Captain as manager.

Guessing that is behind a bunch of players not being around at the weekend meaning the young side was made even younger still!

If the no budget youth team concept keeps up i'd be interested to see how long it lasts. The old manager did a remarkable job considering.

Went to a friendly last night, Uxbridge 1-1 Windsor.

I like the cut of the new management team’s jib. Positive encouragement and demands for effort which did not go unheeded. Against higher league opponents we played pretty well, and with a number of 16yo lads playing their part.

Promising.

However, behind the scenes..... just as it appeared that things were settling down with the prospect of moving forward, oxf*rd shambles continues. It will come out in due course. :|

..... and to cap things off perhaps : things awry on the 'home' front as last night your lodgers (VW) floodlit cup tie v Yateley was abandoned after FIVE minutes due, with no inconsiderable irony, to the old malaise of a Floodlight failure!

Got a couple of games in this midweek
Mon : Floodlight Cup - Reading City 1-3 Penn & Tylers Green - minor upset at Stalag Scours. City wasteful in front of goal and undone by a decent fast-paced team from a lower level.

Tue: new tick up @ Green Lane Hounslow
CB Hounslow 2-2 Sheerwater - this is their 2nd full season in this new facility and for it's under the flight path locations it's not all that bad. Cosy small bar nice food outlet and good site lines with plenty of parking.
Easy access off jn 3 of the M4 too just south of the A4/A30 intersection.
...and a very decent scuffle too between two contrasting styles. CBH fast fit and skilful v Sheers hard-work organisation and strength on the ball. A decent point share as rapier and sabre evened out.

Round up of yesterday's matches :

(think I forgot to mention midweek Flackwell won their FA Cup replay and landed a real 'plum' in the next round: H v Slough 8)
- mumblings about cameras on their twittersphere but they appear to have been a bit previous - the Beeb currently looks to be going with Irlam vs York City.)

c) when T.Wells got it's railway station and be came more fashionable half the houses in Rusthall were put on giant sleds and dragged into more desirable positions closer to it's bigger neighbour!
- Ground is a nice set-up - decent game in bright sunshine
- ‘G’s are a very young side who were unable to force a replay though they had a man advantage late on; thanks to first ‘sin-binning’ that I’ve seen.
- no-one in the crowd realised that the chap hadn’t gone for a Red Card – he sat between the dugouts for the remaining part of the game – was ‘ejected’ from play on about 81’ so effectively the same as a red.

On Saturday, myself and a few mates went to watch Boldmere St Michaels 4-1 Willenhall Town in the second qualifying round of the FA Vase. Boldmere (edge of Sutton Coldfield) are currently bottom of the Midland League Premier division (step 9), but beat their opponents from the division below coming from a goal behind to win a game they were on top of for the most part, with all the goals in the second half.

£8 to get in, £2 a programme. Attendance 104. Decent little clubhouse with bar and function room (hosting a baby shower during the game(!)). Also hosts Aston Villa ladies fixtures. Played on a rubber crumb pitch which I was slightly surprised by - provides a rentable facility for the community I guess.

Mark Scott scored for Bracknell Town last night from 70 yards. He is the goalkeeper.

Bracknell Town are really not playing well so far, fear for the coach already.

Poor recruitment/management or the upheaval of the summer requiring time to gel something?

Know they’ve shifted to a model that is very different for teams at step 4 and results have been very up and down so far. The rest of this month could be interesting for them

On paper the players we got in are very good. Shane Cooper-Clark, Nick Bignall are decent signings and the new lads at the back look pretty good too. Just don't look much like a team at the moment.

Managers don't get long at Bracknell as is well documented but the good news is I have heard it from the horses mouth that the club don't want promotion this season as it will mean them having to ground share. Larges Lane isn't a good enough standard for the League up and the club don't want to play outside of Bracknell. They are in the process of purchasing land to build a new stadium but you're looking at 2 years for that to be completed. The new coach has time in terms of outright success but if the team keep playing the way they are I can't see him lasting.

.... was there last night (Larges La) ... actually thought Robins looked better than last term especially at the back.
Scott's goal on 7' fk from c 70 yds ! Caught out a lot of the crowd as well as the visiting keeper!
tbf they may not play a much better team than Westfield's this season - very impressive two CBs v good on the ball and strong in the air.
MF v incisive and much too quick in thought & deed for their hosts.

as above Westfield had scored 17 in previous 2 games.

Windsor 5-0 Thame Rangers

1st half was 0-0 and we looked as ropey as we have generally looked this season. Rather depressing against lower league opposition.

2nd half completely different. New manager Mark Cooper’s half-time dressing down (well, there should have been one anyway) in his 1st competitive fixture seemed to do the trick.

19yo Dylan Ive scored 4 from the left wing and looks very promising.
