Prolific non-league bagsman Danny Rowe is transfer listed at AFC Fylde. Would benefit most sides in that division.

FA Vase 4th Round
Zone 1
Sun 12th Jan 15:00 01 Worcester City v Coventry United
02 Stockton Town v Atherstone Town
03 Vauxhall Motors v Hebburn Town
04 Longridge Town v Newark Flowserve
05 Consett v Lutterworth Town
06 West Auckland Town v Walsall Wood
07 South Normanton Athletic v Wroxham
08 Sporting Khalsa v Kirkley & Pakefield
Zone 2
09 Stowmarket Town v Glebe
10 Chatham Town v Corinthian
11 Eynesbury Rovers v Leighton Town
12 Deal Town v Binfield (HELLP)
13 Bitton v Warminster Town - Town are one of three STEP06 survivors - the others being Vauxhall M. and Atherstone
14 Woodbridge Town v Plymouth Parkway
15 Buckland Athletic v Bradford Town
16 Christchurch (WESS) v Sutton Common Rovers (CCLP)

- oddschecker currently has Stowmarket, unbeaten and runaway leaders of the Eastern Counties league, as favourites at 11/2.
Usual big-hitters Stockton are @ 4/1 and three other members of the 'Geordie' (incl Durham) Mafia making up the next four places (Hebburn West Auckland & Consett)
- in amongst them, are Plymouth Parkway currently top of the Western league, who might be worth a flutter if they can keep clear of their own strong Western league rivals Bradford T (only behind then on GD) who are over at another Western league side, Buckland.
Then again the travelling, should Parkway be drawn away again, might be their undoing - they have a lengthy trek (650 miles there and back) over to Suffolk tomorrow as it is.

Windsor v Westfield tomorrow is a bit of a cover-your-eyes prospect...

All I can say is that I felt the Team we fielded last week looked a little more balanced and, dare I say it, capable than has been the case most of the season. Last week’s 3-3 at lowly Ardley Utd was largely down to 2 howlers from our young keeper.

Not expecting anything other than a thumping tomorrow but hoping what is a team of many new faces can stay in it for a while and not get completely humiliated. Yes, it’s come to this....

Are W&E going for the ‘most fielded players in a season’ record RR?

RR can't be too far off getting a game tbh.

Well, it’s not W&E of course, but I think we are over 50 players used now. We won’t beat the incredible 92 we fielded in the (not so) new club’s 2nd season after all the players who were there for the money left.

Always W&E to me tbh RR

50 by January? Surely the 92 must still be in sight?

Good luck in the quest :wink:

I may be late to the party in this but I have just seen that St ives are in same division as Lowestoft. Are you seriously telling me they have an 800 mile round trip to complete this fixture. On top of that you have Peterborough Sports, Nuneaton etc all nearly similar distances. That is utter madness.

That’s not “the” St Ives, it’s the St Ives in Cambridgeshire

Still a 2 hour/100 mile or so journey though

Vase scores: Binfield unable to force a win in ET at Deal ends 1–1, replay next Sat 18th

Sutton Common Rovers through with a creditable win at Christchurch 2-1 putting out the last surviving Wessex side.

Of the Western League sides Bradford & Bitton progress vs other WL opponents: Plymouth Parkway edge past Woodbridge 1-0.

Fuller round up tomorrow :)

Apart from following Reading and supporting Windsor, being a glutton for punishment I also watch all my son’s games in adult Sunday League... best / worst (whichever way you look at it!) of Sunday football today with Match abandoned in the 2nd half after a massive punch up.

We have a number of travellers playing for us (pretty mild mannered ones as it happens) but not a good move to pick a fight with one of them. Cue head butt, punches thrown, subs and coaches getting involved, shirts off etc.

Glad to say my lad’s a bit of a peacemaker in these situations and came out unscathed!

only back about 2/3rds of a page....they were building up to it slowly - lost narrowly over Xmas to local Oxon rivals Diddy & then Kiddy .... then overcame the third in the set - an evidently off-colour North Leigh 1-0, on New Years Day. :mrgreen:

....seems to have reverted again now with two heavy defeats.

Four Of Clubs ...
08 Halesowen Town 2-2 Maidenhead United - att 892 - replay Tue 14th @ York Rd - no details released yet.
NOTE probably already mentioned somewhere above: 'Magpies' confirm date of their B&B Senior Cup tie with Marlow for Tue 28th Jan -- knew I'd seen it somewhere - actually it was over on the TB - as posted by Rs 'n Rs :D

Barnstaple Town 0-2 Basingstoke Town – vital win on the road for Town – both goals in the first half – ex-Hartley playmaker Stow with the 2nd.
Willand Rovers 0-4 Thatcham Town – commanding win for leaders – now 7 pts clear of Frome and 14 of 3rd placed Winch.
- 2 goals for returning marksman Barcelos. Big game at the Simplyhealth City Ground/ Winchester’s Denplan as was, this Tue (14th) when the ‘Kingfishers’ take on the ‘Dragons’ (Basingstoke)
- might even be tempted down the M3 for that. 8)

Winchester City 2-0 Bristol Manor Farm

Firstly, Come on Maidenhead! (Alwyn boy)

Secondly, Indeed a key win for B'stoke, really don't want to see them go down, given the shit they have had.

Winchester City - we were two up inside 20 mins and it was looking like a 5 or 6 nil game, but it didn't happen. Conditions were awful, as I guess they were across the area, although the City Ground (sorry,the "Simply Health City Ground") is particularly exposed. For much of the game the direction the ball was kicked in and where it ended up bore no relationship at all to each other.

The main exception to this was Simba Mlambo's outstanding goal. I saw the pass come in and thought, "bugger, useless feckin pass, what chance has he got? then the net bulged. One of those goals that had a premiership striker scored it would have been all over the media.

Another game where the visitors couldn't match us football wise so just hacked us down. I think the bookings finished 0-5. Pisses me off no end. There was one incident towards the end where a BMF player clearly thought "oxf*rd this, I didn't come two hours to play this lot and lose 2-0, I'm going to hurt someone". Massed handbags ensued. But hey ho, non-league eh?

...suspect tomorrow nights game at the SimplyHealth might well be off, as the forecast for the area is currently showing it to be 'hurling' it down from early-PM 'til late. Then again with strong winds that could all have changed by tomorrow?

...may have to a have a re-think about where to go :|
- Bulpit La has occasionally survived Armageddon -type 'tip downs' so might be an outside chance of playing? (B&B Hungerford v Bracknell)

Then again the prognosis is worse, the further west you look? :(

In the other direction, York Rd might endure for the Trophy replay (Maidenhead v Halesowen)
- chances of heavy rain through the evening are slightly reduced.....

Normal admission prices - unsegregated and the Bell (St) End :P entrance is closed.
Adults £15
Concs £10 (SENIOR CITIZEN/UB40/NUS)
U16 £5

Tonight's game at Scours (HELL1E Woodley vs Diddy 'Dev') was called off mid-PM. They'll try again next Monday (20th Jan)

In the Midlands (Southern Premier - Central) Stourbridge v Royston was postponed around 17:00h .... and further south Hitchin v Leiston started and was abandoned on 39' after twenty mins of torrential downpours.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Should the 'Magpies get through tomorrow or whenever they manage to play ... : here's the line-up for the next Round (last 16) in early Feb
FA Trophy 3rd Round Draw (to be played on February 8th)
FC Halifax Town v Halesowen Town or Maidenhead United
Dorking Wanderers or Stockport County v AFC Fylde
Aveley v Chelmsford City
Yeovil Town v Notts County
...and 'lifted' straight from NLM (the nice chap on there has provided est. travel distances :mrgreen: ) ... here's the no longer regionalised Vase draw - some trek for West Auckland;
...and all three Western league sides have been drawn at home - should cut their odds?
FA Vase 5th Round draw
