AthleticoSpizz ....or just ignore it

I'd suggest looking at how many ICU beds we have v how many we are going to need and how many are going to die. Ignore if you want. Life has changed forever sadly.

......Maidenhead’s utterly appalling home form continued with a loss to Stockport. Hungerford lost at home to Bath and I think Slough crashed at Weymouth so all in all a shame the league didn’t postpone all its games.

...in what might be the last review for a fair while :( - here's just a simple round-up of games that did go ahead on Sat.

Saturday 14th March

NAT
AFC Fylde 1-0 Aldershot Town
Maidenhead United 1-2 Stockport County
NATN
Alfreton Town 2-4 Brackley Town

Braintree Town 0-1 St Albans City
Chippenham Town 1-1 Wealdstone
Concord Rangers 3-3 Tonbridge Angels
Dartford 3-0 Chelmsford City

Eastbourne Borough 3-0 Maidstone United
Hampton & Richmond Borough 1-1 Oxford City
Hungerford Town 0-1 Bath City

CB Hounslow United 1-4 Knaphill
Camberley Town
0-3 Sheerwater
Cobham 1-2 Molesey
Egham Town 1-3 Hanworth Villa

What a mess and what a shame for all the clubs and players. Feel for all of them.

National League have asked the FA to assist them in cancelling the rest of the season. What this means to Barrow's chances of getting promoted is unclear.

It all probably makes some sense in non league because players are part time. Not sure at National League level where 95% teams are full time that it should be the end of the season. If it is I certainly feel applying a ppg ratio for the remaining games is better than voiding it all given things are so near the end.

Confirmed. All football below the National League has been ended. All results of this season have been expunged. Therefore no relegation from National Leagues North and South this season and everyone will be they were this season at the start of next season whenever that actually happens.

Yes but they want to finish the season from a promotion/relegation from the National League but the South division will see no relegation.

It has also been said that any reorganisation of the National league set up is delayed until the 2021/22 season.

150 non league clubs have sent a legal letter to the FA. Unhappy that decision made to finish season.

I understand that there are nearly 900 clubs in steps 3-6 and about 750 haven’t signed perhaps indicating that they accept the decision although it does seem harsh on those clubs that have already won their leagues.

What is quite amusing (not really amusing) is that some clubs now missing out on promotion their efforts during the season had clearly earned had invested in players / wages well above the norm for the standard they were at in order to win / buy promotion, quite “happy” making a loss in the process. All part of the game, maybe to satisfy dreams / ego, or just to kick start well-planned progression up the ladder.

Now they’ve made that loss but have no promotion and have to do it all over again next season. But those players who were playing below their natural level will likely move on now as they won’t want to have a 2nd season playing a level or 2 down.

Yeah, amusing

A lot of losers, a lot of investment for nothing

Don’t think any teams are particularly enamoured with the way it’s playing out

(like businesses) Some teams will not survive the Coronas

Indeed - but can't help but feel like there's a moral to this story, counting as yet unhatched chickens or something.
