..... a bit of news about managerial moves that our Windsor 'clique' might be interested in - if they don't already know of it.. taken from NLM Managerial In/Outs thread....

Staines Town FC is delighted to announce the appointment MICK WOODHAM as the new First Team Manager.

Mick brings a wealth of experience of the non-League game, having spent some eight seasons at his hometown club, Windsor FC, at whose Stag Meadow ground he was also previously a player. He has also served Bracknell Town and, in recent weeks, Slough Town, where he had assisted former Swans man Jon Underwood in a scouting capacity. Mick achieved stability and success with The Royalists, including County and League Cup medals and two superb runs in the FA Vase.

Swans Chairman Kevin Rowell said, “I am very excited to be working with Mick as we face the challenge of returning to football following a long lay-off. We had a number of excellent applicants for the post, and Mick greatly impressed us with his solid work ethic and his deep understanding of the game at our level”.

Mick becomes the 31st person to hold the position at Staines Town, and joins the Club after an unusually long hiatus following the departure of the previous manager while competitive football has been suspended due to CoViD-19

A
Royals and Racers Binfield the penalty kings !!!!! 4-3 in the shoot out.

..marvellous - pushed all the way by the STEP06 side though after a 1-1 - didn't watch the stream

...no dream double for Hebburn either beaten 0-1 at Warrington Rylands who play Walsall Wood for the honour of taking on Binfield at Wemberlee later in the month....hope they let fans in -I'll go for it !

EDIT Other S-F now shifted back to Sat 15th May for this Wed.

NAT
Barnet 1-4 Notts County
FC Halifax Town 0-1 Boreham Wood
Hartlepool United 2-4 Maidenhead United- Magpies down to 10 men too.
King's Lynn Town PP Solihull Moors waterlogged
Sutton United 2-0 Weymouth
Wealdstone 0-5 Dagenham & Redbridge
Woking 1-4 Chesterfield
Wrexham 3-0 Yeovil

LATE RESULT Torquay United 0-0 Bromley - live now on BT Sport

...'Gulls' lead Sutton by 2 pts & have three games left : Stockport in 3rd, Barnet and Alty on the last day.
United have a game in hand which is H v Woking this Tue then play Maidenhead - followed by a crucial battle v Hartlepool, who are still chasing auto but are probably too far behind now and may well be out of the picture by then - finishing up against Barnet.

Yeah, I was gutted about this. Really hoped he would come back to Windsor.

Things have gone downhill mightily since he left.

Even in the restructured / new league next season where 6 Level 6 teams are joining I still anticipate a relegation battle.

So bizarre organising an entire club trip to Wembley with Binfield. Looks like we won't get a big allocation which is understandable.

Given the capacity of the stadium, can probably occupy more than 1,500 fans from each club - strange

Trophy have the ends- 3000 each.
Vase have side opposite the tunnel/royal box - bottom 2 sections - split 50/50- top level 5 not on public sale.

This evening's NAT fixtures: (19:45 unless stated)

19:00 Aldershot Town v Yeovil Town
Chesterfield v King's Lynn Town
Maidenhead United v Notts County
19:00 Solihull Moors v Weymouth
19:00 Stockport County v Dagenham & Redbridge
20:00 Sutton United v Woking live on BT Sport

...there's some talk on NLM with 'lockdown' easing, that the last few National matches may be able to admit fans but the initial guidelines suggest it will be home fans only, with a much reduced capacity.

It would be but they aren't playing each other. 0-0 draw on Boxing Day at Plainmoor and Torquay won 1-0 at Sutton.
