Hard enough to get them to give money to the FL let alone the non leagues.

If it is curtailed can see Torquay being a bit peeved but then those clubs at the bottom of league 2 will be relieved.

Latest on the National league situation- 4 resolutions to be voted on.
https://twitter.com/Ollie_Bayliss?ref_s ... r%5Eauthor
For Resolutions 1 & 4, the voting is weighted towards Step 1 clubs.

Each Step 1 club has one vote.

Each Step 2 division is worth 4 votes (i.e. if 12 or more National North clubs vote in support, that equals 4 votes).

Res. 1: Gives clubs the chance to decide the fate of their own Step.

Res. 2 & 3: Clubs vote to end their own Step (only applies if Res. 1 passes):

Res. 4: Clubs vote to end all Steps (only applies if Res. 1 fails)

*Res. 1 needs 75% majority.
*Res. 2,3&4 needs 50% majority.

Two 'featured' sides in action tonight in the National:

Sh!ts win 2-1 from behind at home to bottom club Barnet.

Eastleigh finish 1-1 at home to Wrecsam

... Magpies visit to Wealdstone off due to a waterlogged pitch.

Sutton win 2-0 at promotion rivals Stockport & leaders Torquay 1-2 in arrears at home to Alty close to HT. .... which is how it finished - 'Gulls' still 9 pts clear.

Full programme was scheduled tonight in the National League Step 1&2 but only 10 matches survive j(from 31)
- fair number OFF due to the weather of course.

Of our 'featured' sides Eastleigh have just taken the lead at home against struggling Yeovil - H/T looms.....
Wealdstone travel to current leaders Torquay.

In NATS : two of 'our' clubs meet in an intriguing clash of good form at Court Place

Oxford City v Hungerford

Weather and Vids concerns putting paid to most of today's NL programme - soz I'm a tad late with the (pre)view.

Of the games surviving only three of our 'featured' sides in action

In NAT the Sh!ts are away at Stockport currently 0-0

....which is how it finished.

Sutton in 2nd place bt Boreham Wd 2-0 and sit 7 pts behind Torquay with 3 games in hand.

In NATS both Dorking W & Oxford City have btuilt up healthy leads early 2nd half DW 3-0 v Welling : City one better H v Chelmsford.

Results were 5-0 & 4-1 respectively: Dorking take over from Dartford at the top: City handily placed in 3rd with games in hand of the 'Darts'.

Imagine it’ll the same for many others too....seems to make sense under the circumstances.

As a side dish, a decent Maidenhead United centre-spread in The Non League Paper today featuring 150 years of York Road.

Some NL results from last night (Tue 16th Feb)

NAT
Aldershot Town 1-3 Solihull Moors
Barnet 2-1 FC Halifax Town
Boreham Wood 2-3 Yeovil Town
Dagenham & Redbridge 1-0 Bromley
Eastleigh 2-1 Hartlepool United - Spitfires in the last PO spot
King's Lynn Town 0-1 Notts County
Maidenhead United 0-0 Stockport County - Magpies in 9th with games in hand on some above them
Wrexham 2-0 Woking
NATN
Hereford 2-0 Brackley Town
NATS
Eastbourne Borough 4-2 Billericay Town
St Albans City 1-1 Hemel Hempstead Town
Welling United 4-3 Ebbsfleet United - only the 2nd win of the season for 'Wings' but not enough to haul themselves off the bottom and above Slough - though they draw level with the Rebels on points.
Difficult to see this division going on for much longer - for example Slough still have 28 games to play. Even if they agreed to start next week and played only twice a week (I'm sure any more fixtures would cause burn-out for part-timers even if they extended their squad) - that would probably take them well into June?

I presume the NL must have something in its constitution as it’s ridiculous that member clubs were given 28 days to vote on the resolutions to end the season. Should have been 1 week at most so now we have sides refusing to play because if the circumstances while others are carrying on and consequently there are teams like Slough who are going to be playing 3/4 games some weeks to make up the gap.

Personally think all non leagues should be declared null and void this season, I suspect though that the NLN and NLS will go down that route while the NL completes. Incidentally I presume step 3 and below have already declared their seasons null and void, though I haven’t seen anything official yet?

Elsewhere, Darlington are facing charges from the NL for failing to fulfil their home game v Boston and York lost 3-1 to Fylde in their first game at their brand new home ground (the 8000 seater LNER Community Stadium).
