Four Of Clubs ..... another round of NAT fixtures tonight - featured sides:

19:00 KOs
D&R v Eastleigh
Sutton v Torquay

19:45 KOs
Weymouth v Sh!ts
Woking v Bromley

Sutton United 0-1 Torquay United

Quite a battle now for the one automatic promotion place in the NL. Realistically now between Torquay, Sutton and Hartlepool. 2nd placed (by +2 goals) Sutton have the slight edge having a game in hand on 3rd placed Torquay who are 1 point behind leaders Hartlepool with 2 games in hand.

In the play offs Chesterfield have shot out of nowhere on the back of a great run to looks odds on for a place but Maidenhead have slumped alarmingly down to 15th place though they have between 2 and 6 games in hand on all the clubs above them, though realistically they’d probably have to win all those games to be back in the mix.

Woking 3-4 Bromley - topsy-turvey time at Kingfield : 'Cards' shipped an early goal, led by 20' and were eventually pegged back on 79' - scored within 2 mins to lead again 3-2 - then conceded another on 83' and an og on 88' to lose 3-4

...excellent outcomes for our local teams there .... trawled around and stumbled across a live YouTube feed (of sorts) of the USP v Christchurch tie but couldn't work out the score (EDIT : also went to pens with STEP 6 USP winning 4-1 against their Wessex League rivals) - I got bored with the musical interludes (was on my new phone that I haven't really got to grips with -need to ask offspring.... )
... so went back to half-watching the Geords v Wet Sham.

NAT results from early KOs:
Halifax 4-2 Kings Lynn Town
Barnet 3-1 Aldersh!t
Notts Co 0-1 Eastleigh
Stockport 2–2 Maidenhead Utd
Wealdstone 2-7 {SEVEN} Hartlepool

For reasons far too convoluted to comment on, Hadley were transferred sideways from the Spartan S.Mids into the Essex Senior League  (STEP05) for 19/20 - and stayed there for this much-curtailed 20-21 campaign & ended it with 7 wins and one draw. So they are awkward opponents for the 'Moles' - not least that they beat, what should have been, a fairly strong opponent in SCR - the CCLP leaders - on their own turf (3G).

Went to Hadley's ground about 4-5 years back : pretty non-descript, tucked away nr bottom of the A1(M) I think - can recall it was a bitterly cold afternoon a certain Micky Hazard was their manager - who demonstrated a top-flight level of swearing at the officials - tho fortunate for him they probably couldn't discern most of his tirades delivered in a strong 'Mackem' Accent
No parking nearby - unless you risk the local community hall - and a very poky bar/clubhouse with no hot food - which of course won't be a major issue in current circumstances.....

Plymouth Parkway were clear top of a very strong STEP05 Western League when it was cut short & also unbeaten and full of goals, +40 GD in only 13, so the 'Heathens' have a potentially tougher tie and of course a longer journey to contemplate.

If I can edit this properly from the odd format on NLM -and get the scores the right way round :D - here's the other Vase R4 results not yet covered above:

01 Shildon 0-0 Warrington Rylands 4-5 pens
02 North Ferriby 4-0 West Auckland Town
03 Hebburn Town 2-1 Liversedge
05 Congleton Town 1-0 Malvern Town
06 Long Eaton United 1-1 Westfields 5-4 pens
07 Anstey Nomads 4-2 Wellingborough Town
08 Mulbarton Wanderers 0-0 Hanworth Villa 1-3 pens
09 Leighton Town 2-1 Walton & Hersham
13 Sutton Common Rovers 1-3 Hadley
14 Plymouth Parkway 2-1 Clevedon Town

In the late NAT KO, Sutton ran out 4-0 winners at Altrincham to stay in close touch at the top with games in hand.

Has anyone been watching any games in the last 2 weeks ? my mate went to Wokingham and Embrook last week and Windsor and Eton tonight. He tells me there were around 300 at the Mortimer v Burghfield match last night. How can these games allow fans ?

... was always a possibility down at STEP07 - I posted above that TVL sides staging games in 'unenclosed' public spaces, might well draw some fans even under current restrictions (I've not been tempted to lurk just yet :P and certainly wouldn't boast/post about it on a forum - as others elsewhere have and been roundly castigated) ...... but 300 @ Mortimer is pushing it a bit.
Wok & Emm's ground is also mostly a roped/open area at Lowther Rd but I'm certainly thrown by Windsor reportedly allowing in fans to Stag Meadow, which is/was fully enclosed.

Any ideas what these games were - E.g. Was it an Hellenic-sponsored competition in Windors case?
I knew TVL were borrowing a few higher STEP grounds to get started ....and the CCL have begun their between seasons 'summer' cup memorial competition as well as resuming their league cups?

My work colleague who manages a lower level TVL club, said they had a fair number of 'spectators' attending their game on the northern outskirts of 'ding last week too.

Might start a FoCcers style delve into this .......... 8)

Sorry that is a cock up by me- tonight was Wokingham and Embrook(W&E doh !!!) - the same as last week. Tonight they played Holyport in the cup and won 3-0.
Mortimer v Burghfield has always been a big local football derby but as i wasn`t there i cannot confirm the attendance.
