Tony Le Mesmer
Four Of Clubs 58 Sandhurst Town 2-6 North Greenford United

I did this as well, safe play. I thought i saw you (tall with hat?) on the far side 1st half and very nearly said hello. But can you imagine asking "Hi, are you FoC?" and then it wasn't? Id sound like an old cold war spy gone mad.

I was just a bit bored throughout tbh. Not been for a few years and I lets be honest its a dreadful venue to watch football. Im even surprised they are allowed to play there atm, social distancing must be impossible with 200+. I considered leaving at HT, but stuck it out until near the end.

....Nope - was'nae me - I'm not particularly tall (for my weight 8) ) and on this occasion did not don either of my hats - have woolly & basey variants deep in the folds of my grotty brown coat - deployed depending upon weather conditions.
I lurked in spaces around the clubhouse, then having decided to indulge in the big burger and chips plus Moretti, I clambered into a socially distanced spot down the end of the seats and remained there for the duration.

Agreed the newer layout is even flatter than before the upgrade and does get cramped when a crowd is in - which they really should have thought about, before flogging off all of the surrounding space.
Used to enjoy sitting up in the creaky little wooden stand above the old dugouts close to where the entrance is now - was always really entertaining, especially with Mr Herridge down on the touch line below you for the Wokingham games.

... and on that topic I hadn't connected the Withers/McClurg duo taking over at Binfield, had meant that Roger H has actually stepped away from the club after seven years in charge. In that period they never finished below 9th in a tough league and picked up a fair shelf load of trophies too. All of his best young developing players were regularly poached by bigger local clubs - particularly the lot from Larges La.

Apparently he wants to recharge his batteries and come back when he feels ready - best of luck to him; a real gent on the local NL scene and always ready to have chat with me if I turned up at a 'Moles' game and he spotted me.

Bracknell off to Steve Claridge’s Salisbury for the Trophy 1st Round, I presume that means Cinderford have withdrawn from the competition or been kicked out?

Well we might not be off to anywhere until after lockdown.

Any team who can't fulfill a fixture due to COVID issues are thrown out.

Royals and Racers Better make the most of this weeks Mon/Tues/Wed fixtures because that`s it for a month !!

Thankfully we have a home game on Tuesday (assuming no-one at Winch or Evesham gets the lurgy). I normally drive to mid-week games and stay off the beer. I suspect this may not be the case for this game.

....maybe just my long day at work or senility kicking in again, :? so I don't quite follow your comment re Evesham BUT I do know your forthcoming midweek pre-lockdown fixture vs Sholing is showing as Postponed on the SL site as of this evening.
Not picked up anything from respective club twitterati yet but the SL has issued a statement basically saying clubs only need to fulfill this weeks matches if both clubs agree to play.
As a consequence it would appear most are calling off apart from those involved in Trophy re-runs.

Tuesday: Currently of our featured sides, Thatcham are still hosting BMF and Nor Lye are due to play Kempston but you could excuse both away clubs' concerns about travelling - though admittedly neither trip is too arduous.

Marlow try again in the Trophy v Berko as do Uxbridge who have an unplayed tie vs their very nr neighbours HandY.

Remains to be seen if the STEP5 league's will follow suit this week and decide not to play - there are already a few showing as OFF but these could just be a mix of unplayed Vase ties to fit in or pre-existing COVID issues as per Woodley who were due to host Langley at Scours tomorrow.

Probably no decision made yet about Wednesday's SL games: Kiddy are scheduled to be at home to Aylesbury Utd as are Farnborough v Walton Cas - Diddy are away at Daventry ; Highworth v Basingstoke has already been called off however.

Just to confirm. Between 5th November and 2nd December ALL non “Elite” football will be suspended

Therefore only Steps 1 and 2 of non league will carry on while step 3 and below will “take a break”.

The only exception to this is that the 10 remaining non “Elite” clubs (ie from Step 3 and below) involved in the FA Cup 1st Round over the “weekend” of 6/7/8/9 November will be allowed to play the games as scheduled.

Updates on fixtures and dates concerning FA Trophy and FA Vase games will follow at a later date.

W/e 28th Nov ;

and don't know yet.

In last night's games :

Marlow progressed 2-1 v Berkhamsted and Uxbridge upset Hayes & Yeading in the Trophy.

SL Div 1 S Thatcham were reduced to 10 men before H/T - ex-Royals stopper George Legg red-carded - Yash Romeo took over between the sticks. Bristol M-F ran out 2-1 winners.
'Kingfishers' announce the next day that Legg has been released. :? - bit harsh if not planned?

In CCL Premier 2nd placed Hanworth Villa were held 2-2 by Badshot Lea; Frimley Green edged 3-2 past Egham and Banstead BT bottom club Molesey.
In Div One Walton & Hersham leap over Farnham to top spot, with a win over Godalming.

The Hellenic league clubs progressed with some ease in the Vase ties - big home wins for Brimscomb and Bps Cleeve.
The 2 Premier league games saw Flackwell romp to a 4-0 win at Shrivenham and head the table I think. RWBT and much improved Holmer G shared 4 goals.
In the Challenge Cup Reading City eased past Long Crendon 5-1 at Oxford City's Court Place Farm.

The Wessex league's games included a big win for Fleet Town over Shaftsbury; Alresford struggling of late got a creditable 3-3 draw at Fareham.
Previously unbeaten leaders Hamworthy lost 1-0 at Lymington Town who now have 8 wins from 8 and move up to 4th.

In the lower section Andover New Street lost 0-2 at home to Romsey and Alton's 3-2 win over Ringwood keeps them 3rd.

At least 1 will due to Banbury v Canvey. In short, the clubs have an exemption for the cup but cannot play any other games. They can train for the game but not sure how regularly they can and any restrictions on it.

They can’t train for a game. Directive was that after Wednesday 4th November players of non-Elite clubs would not be allowed to train together for the duration.

Dispensation has been given for the cup. They can train for any 2nd Round game. What isn't clear is how close to the game that dispensation kicks in.
