If Portsmouth get liquidated Andersen could be returning and so we'd have 4 keepers in the 25.

Charlie Mulgrew can play center back, left back and left midfield if necessary, only 26 and hes a beast at free kicks. We need 4 center backs and Morisson is only tested at league 1 level so might even be loaned.

Pearce, Gorkss, Mariappa, Mulgrew/Morisson would be a good amount and only count as 4 towards the squad. Obviously if Brynjar gets in then he will be adequate cover.

If Andersen does well at Pompey (And Im confident he will) it wont be hard to find another loan move for him in January.

BMcD has said that currently RFC have 23 of their 25-man squad and that Gunnarson may therefore have a place - although he is also being talked about as an addition to the coaching side. If he does - 24 , still one more place to fill. If he becomes a coach - still 23 AND two more places to fill! WHO?

We don't have to have 25 players over 21. Many PL sides last season didn't, Everton only had 18 in their squad.

No thanks - was completely found out in the USA v Scotland friendly recently. Playing LB for a team that is expected to win by a goal or two every week =/= playing LB for a team battling to avoid relegation. In the Micah Richards category of "can't defend, but looks good playing for the best team in the league".

Why do people keep saying this? We have spent about 5 million in transfer fees, maybe 4 million in signing on fees, have given significantly improved terms to many of last years teams - and have bought in new players on 35, 30, 30, 25 & 20k a week.

I think that might be a tad pessimistic. If you could take your mind back to how you felt when we went into the PL last time with Kitson, Doyle, Lita, Long and Cox, I suspect you'd put the current strikers of Pogrebnyak, Roberts, Le Fondre, Hunt and Church at least on a par.

Because compared to spends of teams promoted to the Prem in the past few seasons, the above is probably below par, especially considering the language coming from our new Owner.
