Speculation - Chris Samba

by M U R T Y » 19 Dec 2012 09:52

Another Russian connection - subject to some pretty horrendous racist abuse at present - could we give him a way out?

Did a solid job for Blackburn before it went sour

Would certainly have the experiance to hit the ground running, I think he's 28 (but looks about 40) knows how to defend and can score goals, I think he would be good for Morro to learn from.

Surely a lot of other premier league teams would be interested in him and WCBAP.

GSY-Royal Quick?

Quicker than Pearce, but so is an oil tanker.

This is the standard of player that we should be looking at - yes WCBAP, depending on whether we are aiming to survive this year, or building for the Championship next season

He will be on £80k+

Stupid signing. Pearce, Morrison and Mariappa will be perfectly good in the Championship and are of a decent age, lets be realistic about what we are planning for - a first time rebound to the premier league.

Can't afford the transfer fee, surely? He was immense in the PL before his move. He's also on silly money, and will not be short of offers from established PL clubs.

No chance!

He would surely take a pay cut to leave and stop being racially abused. Or will he do anything for money?
