As well as looking at this Aaron Berzel lad should we also be seeing if Mike's 18 year old brother Nikki Havenaar has a bit of the family skill too? 6ft 6 centre back f or Nagoya Grampus, has played for Japan u18 (scoring 1)...........

Not so sure about him myself. Judging by the video (and only by the video) he's good a scrambling them in and getting on the end of rebounds etc, but other than height I don't see what he has that Alfie doesn't.

maffff Probably not right for this thread but How long have you been a fan and why?
I'm guessing from seeing your location a link to/through Charlotte FC, either the affiliation from 2007, when the players were stranded in 2010 or the Noel Hunt camp? Could be wildly off.....

Not wildly off. I got to see Rodney Marsh and Bobby Moore play some short stints as they coached the Charlotte pro team when I was a kid, so I got some early exposure to English football, but never followed a club. I work in aerospace and usually wind up staying in Reading for the Farnborough Fair. I was there for a week in 2006 and there was a good bit of excitement about the team so I started following. One of the reasons my kids play for Charlotte United FC was the Reading affiliation as we were already fans. Over the past few years, they've gotten to train with Noel (several times), Jordan Obita, Craig Tanner, and Lee Herron from the academy. Noel has been great with my girl and encourages her to play keeper a lot more than I prefer. Unfortunately the affiliation seems to have fizzled when our business director left for another club last year. Looks like our club might be linking up with Spurs now instead via our Under Armour relationship as Reading seems to have lost interest. As I'm always there in July, Ive never been able to attend a game (watched every minute of every league game on tv this year!) but we may try to make a trip over as a family to catch some games next April or August.

Does this mean that Reading4eva is officially ITC now? I'm slightly scared that the world isn't what I thought it was anymore...

I think it's far more likely that The Times have nicked the story from here.

No one, no matter what language system their name is from, should ever have two As next to eachother in their name.

Aardvark is the only vaguely acceptable word and even that causes confusion in my head and makes me want to become a serial killer.

For that reason I say no.
