Ian Royal Am I misremebering or have we been linked to Anichebe before?

Wasnt the Akpan transfer supposed to be Anichebe for ages until someone realised they actually meant akpan?

Give that man a biscuit. That's the one.

Rehash of that for this Anichebe rumour? Or does it hold water this time?

Either Jerome or Anichebe would do for me.

I asked this on another thread but forgot which and can't find it so I'm sorry if someone answered already, but what is the fascination with jerome? He had one good season for Cardiff years ago and has done nothing since or before really with a very poor goals per game ratio.

Admittedly im only going by wiki stats so don't know how many were substitutions etc but he sounds less than mediocre to me. Just asking what the fascination is please. Are we hoping his form will revert to that good season years ago?

In my opinion he would be a very good partner for Le Fondre (as would Cole). Both are strong physical players who can hold the ball well and bring other players in to play. We don't necessarily need them to have m excellent scoring record.

Anichebe would be a fantastic signing. Younger than Jerome, and exactly the kind of forward we need.

Thanks. That would be useful I guess but I'd prefer a striker who can actually score too.

What's Trevor Morley doing these days?

What - the kind that's constantly injured? We've just got shot of one of those to Pale Arse.

This morning Stoke have signed a striker from Werder Bremen.... Will this page way for Cameron Jerome at all?

I'm a fan of his so I am hoping so.

Jerome is only 26, has a career average of a goal every 285 minutes , roughly 1 in 3 x 90-minute games

Scored about 1 in 4 in the Prem so ought to get close to 1 in 2 in the Championship

All hinges on stoke getting in another striker... The guy they signed this morning is more a winger that can play upfront rather than an out and out striker

10:36 - JEROME LEAVING STOKE?
BBC Sport's Nabil Hassan: Cameron Jerome free to leave Stoke according to reports. Reading face competition from Wigan for his signature.

SSN reckons Wigan in pole position and he doesn't want to drop a division anyway....
