A WWFC supporter has just told me we are buying their 19 year old Centre Half, Andrew Stewart. He's a VP at the club, so don't know whether he actually knows or if it's just conjecture. Apparently their other CH is going to Everton.... he also tells me that if the Omani guy being mentioned as a possible new owner comes to fruition, we'll be like Man City - as Oman love their football, Abu Dhabi next door have Man City and Mr Oman will see them as rivals.... if only!!!

Watched Wycombe vs Newport on Boxing Day and can't say that Stewart stood out particularly. Although (IMO) that's sometimes the sign of a good centre back, as they're doing their job efficiently - but difficult to tell on that showing whether he was up to Championship standard or not.
