Speculation - Piazon - would you buy him?

by Super Kevin Bremner! » 26 Jan 2016 22:26

??????

Decent enough for Reading if he ups his work rate. Can't see him getting in to a Premier League first team for any significant run of games.

Transfermarkt suggests a current value of £2m with him out of Contract at Chelsea in 2017.

Would be a no brainer for me. Goals, assists, very clever, and maybe going permanent would increase his work ethic.

And he's not a rapist.

Chelsea have no reason to sell, I can't see them selling him for under £5m. So that rules us out

Very much worth it but I'm sure Chelsea will want to keep hold of him.

I just can't see him becoming a regular PL player that they'd tie to a new contract.

Chelsea don't care about that, if they can milk loan fees out of players or can see a future sale, they will remain contracted to Chelsea. True the kid is 22 right now so he might not make it but what is more likely to happen is they maximise the length of his contract so they don't have to worry about selling him on the cheap.

I think he's decent, but I don't think he's a particularly good fit here in this squad. I certainly wouldn't pay seven figures for him.

For £2m? Yes. Still young, would have time to develop him in the Championship. Clearly has talent but needs beefing up.

He's no longer a sex pest, meaning we can no longer afford him.

In this hypothetical situation, yes. He's got the talent and he's a good player. Yes he's a bit lightweight but this is first real stint in English football, and for a midfield player it's such a learning curve. He will only improve and I think it's easy to forget that he's only just turned 22.

But it's all irrelevant as Chelsea wouldn't sell and if they would we couldn't afford him.

2017 is an age away - giving him plenty of time to negotiate a new contract.
No way would Chelsea accept a bid of 2 million.

And, oh, Dave sticks him on his list of best young players in the latest Secret Footballer book.

He's like a glamorous Championship signing. And for that reason I can see him going on loan to the giants that are Sheffield Wednesday next season and being equally as average as he has been here.

Take him on a free transfer only

No. He's too lightweight for Championship football - or at least the way we play it.

Hit the nail on the head, way to lightweight for this league, gives the ball away more than any other player

You can easily train that out of him, especially when he is your own player.

that can be sorted though and will sort itself as he gets a bit older.

I would take him, no question, once in a settled side I think we would see the very best of him, nice variation with Norwood for free kicks and he does have the habit of nicking in for goals.

For £2mill - 100% No brainer. The kid finds space like no one I have seen play for Reading. If you watch him and I mean really watch him, he is never marked, its quite remarkable.

Based on his last showing, I can only assume because the opposition realised they didn't need to. He did nothing.
