Uninspiring Speculation - AbduLOL Razak

Mystery surrounds speculation linking former Manchester City midfielder Abdul Razak with a possible switch to Reading.

The 23-year-old is currently without a club having left Doncaster Rovers last season and was due to join Swedish side GAIS last week.

But they claim he instead flew to England on Friday to link up with Royals.

Gais sporting director Fredrik Molin said: “Reading have stepped in and so I think it might be difficult for us.

“But we have not given up.”

Sources at Madejski Stadium, however, insist they have ‘no idea’ about Razak’s current situation and believe that his agent could be using the club’s name as a possible bargaining tool.

Who? The bloke hasn't managed to notch double figures for any of the eight clubs he's played for at 23 years old. Wouldn't be a very "Reading signing", would it now

After the speculative and unproven link to us the article does say that he was actually in Turkey at the weekend, not in Reading.

In his defence, three of those were month-long loans and one was Man City... but he would be quite an uninspiring signing. I don't think there's anything in this.
