Pure Spaculation - Nick Blackman

by Kuhl_Runnings » 15 Aug 2017 14:36

Before you all point your UZIs and AKs at me for even mentioning his name, he is according to Rowett available to leave Derby for game time elsewhere. He may not have set the world alight there but I miss when we were fired to second in the table in 2015/16 by his many goals; 11 in 25 if Wikipedia is correct. I reckon he might fit into the system as he has pace like we need, certainly has goals in him (ok not at Derby) and he drifts out wide too so there's some wing usage. I know, don't go back to the past, but if he is cheap, price and wages wise, what would you do if you were Stam and he was offered to you?

I'd probably rather get relegated than re-sign Nick Blackman.

I'd probably rather fold the club than re-sign Nick Blackman.

Why not do both? Also we might as well just end this thread now, there's a reason why I called it SPACulation

I liked him for that 3 months he was playing well.

However, personality etc aside, he is simply not good enough. Has he even scored a goal for Derby?

Scored a penalty.

Looks like he's off to Israel?

I'd rather sign Honor Blackman.

Yes, he had a 6 week spell where everything he hit went in but that was preceded by a 30 month spell where he looked like a one legging man trying to kick himself in the arse.

Except sadly Pog's purple patch was for Fulham, not us.

*chuckle*

Re the OP. No, just no. It would totally ruin the afterglow of stiffing Derby for £3m for him.

I'd rather support Sw*ndon

Talk about ego writing cheques his ability can't cash. So he scored a dozen goals in six months, what about the rest of forever where he was total arse gravy?

If Derby paid US another £4m to take him back I'd still say no.

I'd rather we re-signed Lloyd Owusu and brought back the roof is on fire chant. In fact I'd actually quite like that. Can we please?
