The thing with throwing money at the problem is that is has a fairly good track record of not working. I thought Howe would have been able to make the owners see this.

Depends how much money we are talking... it’s works if you throw enough.

No surprise the owners want their own man in the job. NH has done the job he was brought back to do, i.e. stabilise the club. Must have been difficult to communicate with an owner who speaks no English at a distance.

Not sure it is what we need but ...............................................................

Chris Gunter player manager may be?

IF,IF,IF we are getting a new manager I think quarantine might have to take place.
Just saying.

High time we heard from the owners. What their plans are, how they intend to deal with FFP problems, longer term aims etc etc.

Err, one of the owners has lived in Britain for 30 years, was married to an Englishman and has British citizenship. Not convinced there's that big a language gap.

But it is a fair point that has been missed that on appointment, Howe did say that he was an interim appointment to sort out the mess made by Gourlay.

I am concerned that the owners are going to go full on bonkers with the money though. It's a fcuking huge gamble that rarely works and is more likely to land us further in the shit, unless of course, there's something we don't know on the cards regarding the application of FFP.

Would be a shame to lose Bowen as he has done a decent job.

However, if the approach from the owners is literally boom or bust for promotion they need to appoint the right man to get us up and have one chance at doing it.

IMO there are three candidates that have been there and done it -

Hughton, Howe or Jokanovic.

If we got Hughton or Howe I would be very pleased. I can see it being an obscure foreign bloke though

Yup, random Portuguese with a similar CV to Jose Gomes would be my guess.

...or the ex-Beijing Rehne boss (Aleksandar Stanojević).

What a shambles.

Surely after the Gomez failure they won’t go for another unknowing foreign manager?!

If true that will leave him a whole week to work with the team before the first game.

What a shambles.
