Yeah can’t complain with this, only 23 as well. Lots of upside to this type of move.

Might be looking at a permanent move even if we don’t go up and he does well.

The last Bissau-Guinean defensive midfielder we signed on loan turned out OK. Which isn’t a sentence I ever expected to use.

Snowflake Royal Fills an important hole.
LW and RB to go.

I'd agree with that.
And hopefully find a landing spot for McNulty and any other fringe players on decent deals

Can’t imagine too many foreign teams are going to be after your McNulty’s and co.

I’m thinking more in terms of lower divisions and Scotland. Walker, Watson, McNulty, Baldock and Smith need to move on.

Moves to Scotland presumably cease after tomorrow...

Had a little look at what Forest fans thought of Semedo

https://www.forestforum.co.uk/threads/4 ... edo/page27

Brief synopsis; started off “way too good for this league”, then became a bit inconsistent, then got injured and upon his return was by and large pretty terrible.

The recurring theme is that has a lot of energy and decent at driving forward (without necessarily being a specific creative player) loves a tackle, but lacks situational awareness and defensive positioning and discipline - which is a bit of a concern. Suggested he’s better off the bench chasing a game and starting is a liability.

I’m sure Pauno would have done his homework so hopefully he can have a positive affect on that side of his game, the type of game that Rino/Laurent executed so well on Saturday. Also Semedo will be better off for the experience last year, hopefully he’s more the player when he got to Forest, rather than the one that left.

As if Ian Royal wannabee's on other forums actually know and can comment on "situation awareness" is quite frankly laughable. Forest fans laying into us picking this player up when in another thread they are destroying Tyler Blackett - enough said.

I think every forum will have know it all supporters who have never ever played the game at a decent level giving it large about the game, it is really embarrassing. We seemingly have more than most and we also have the industry leading expert in Ian Royal.

'Sadly, have to agree. I can forgive a player having a bad game but this guy seemed not to be bothered. Listless in defence and useless in attack. '

Sure but what makes them any better or worse to judge the performances of their own players than we are regarding ours?

I’m not saying it should be taken at gospel but just thought it was worth sharing, and tbh they’ve seen more of him than we have.

Yes, but if they are like we are, "This month's scapegoat is.."

Seems fans get fixed ideas about players, especially negative ones, and have massive
difficulty re-aligning their minds. Aluko could score a dozen goals, then score
three solo goals in a game, dribbling from our penalty area the length of the pitch
after losing an arm, and bleeding from the stump ... Ian would still go "Meh!"

But that is more to do with Ian not understanding football rather than a general supporter thing. Every club has that supporter who thinks they know everything about the game despite never ever playing it.

I have been in or around a decent level of football since the age of 11, I am qualified to talk about it due to the amount of coaching badges I hold. People like you and Ian are not. Carry on licking eachothers arseholes though, just proves my point.

I've played Football Manager and took a team from the lowest league up to winning the PL.

So there.
