Tbh, he's played about 5 games, so if we can rinse Liverpool for multi-millions then I guess we need the money.

But he's not exactly a wage we need to move. And piss all cover.

In light of tonight’s Femi Azeez rumoured move to #LFC I understand he has been nursing an injury, which could potentially see him out for an extended period of time, depending on diagnosis. #ReadingFC

£8-10m and I'd snap Liverpool's hand off

Are you sure you're not an avid accountant? You seem to look at finances every time whether someone comes or goes whether it actually is good for us or not.

I don't know if you've noticed, but the finances are having a bit of an effect on everything we do right now. It's kinda relevant.

And a loan back for the season - that’d do nicely.

However, it’s complete bollocks surely.

Never going to happen. Apart from 2 goals wouldn’t say he set the league alight! Looks like he can do a job for us but not Liverpool. Would certainly take the money that they are willing to offer tho.

So if there’s any truth in this the club must have given permission to Liverpool to talk to Femi which presumably means the club must have accepted a bid.

Not that it matters much as it seems Femi is now injured and, given Reading’s current record with injuries, probably out for 6 months anyway - yet another training ground cock-up?

It does seem a little far fetched, but thinking about this from a purely business point of view, I wonder if larger teams are betting on Brexit ramping up the value of English players.

They'd only need to offer say £5m + add-ons and maybe £2m in salary over 3 years, continue a promising youngsters development and sell to a mid-level premier League team (leeds, villa, Everton etc) in a couple of years for £18-20m and they've made a packet for very little work. And if the player really kicks on and steps up quickly, they get a future star player for pennies.

It occurred to me that may have been part of the idea for Bayern signing Richards, definitely European quality potential, but low risk with high resale value if it doesn't work out.

The 75k line just makes it sound ridiculous but as mentioned above blues like Liverpool may well take a chance on the likes of Azeez and honestly, if they have bid we should sell. You can't really "miss" a player who has played just 4 games and if clubs of that stature want him, he ain't signing a new deal.

However, if Liverpool did want him then they would gave known his contract situation before signing the new 1 year deal and could have snapped him up 3 months ago for nowt (bar compensation)

It isn’t. Literally anyone Bayern Munich sign would immediately qualify for a British work permit.

“Low risk, resale value”, yes. But nothing to do with Brexit.

Really? So any Bayern Squad member, irrespective of playing time would qualify?

Good to know.

Yes. Appearing in a single match day squad in a Band A competition (such as the Bundesliga) gets 12 out of 15 points, even without playing.

If Bayern subsequently qualify for the group stages of the Europa League (finishing fifth or sixth or higher) then that’s at least three extra points.

Sign a player, stick them on the bench (9 subs in Germany), eligible for a British work permit.
