Yeah I can't imagine either of Vydra or Grabban will be within our budget range and I'm not sure I'd want either back either really, definitely solid enough players at this level but they had their opportunity a few years ago and didn't take it.

From what I can make out Puscas was not involved in the squad. Genoa won the game 1-0.

Would imagine he isn't match fit. Guess it'll be a few weeks before he is involved.

I'm really confused about the Puscas situation, I was under the impression he was on a agreed deal if Genoa got promoted but JLow has suggested it is merely an option for them to take up.

Seems most media outlets at the time simply reported it as a season long loan, however the Tilehurst End reported it as “a season-long loan deal and [Genoa] are reportedly obliged to buy him outright next summer for €3 million (around £2.5 million)”. The Chronic I think also suggested it was a loan with a view to a permanent move.

Anyone got anything official that clarifies the position?

Puscas has done ok there so I would expect they'll take the option up to sign him permanently.

Their next 2 games are v midtable teams. 6 points in those and they'll be very clear of 3rd.

Would love to get some money back for him. Will help us balance the books.

Looks like Genoa are almost as good as up, especially if they don't lose to Bari when they play them

They have tp play 3 of the top four (thy being the other member of the top four) in their last 4 games. The key is to be 10 points clear of fourth place. Puscas seems to have been relegated to the subs bench since his knock.

Bowen has confirmed tonight that Genoa are obligated to buy Puscas if they get promoted, which currently looks very likely.

What the hell happened with Pisa vs Bari? It looked like they got to the 90th minute with Bari winning 2-1, why was the game abandoned?

WHAT HAPPENED - In the 86th minute of Pisa-Bari, with the ball in possession of the Apulians, the referee intervenes with a touch, changing the trajectory of the ball. The match director, Mr. Colombo from Como, did not interrupt the action which, a few seconds later, resulted in a goal opportunity with Caracciolo's arm rejected. A very serious technical error, which even the technician D'Angelo will underline, printing the rule on a makeshift 'pizzino', in the press room. In fact, the football regulation, in the 'ball not in play' section, updated with this case study in the 2019-20 season, is clear. "The ball stops being in play when, touched by the referee, as a result of that touch, a promising attack begins".

So Pisa saying the ref should have stopped play when the ball hit him and fell to a Bari player leading (via a penalty) to Bari's winning goal.
In my view, Pisa had chances to clear their lines after but didn't so thin their appeal will fail.

Four games to go, 6 points ahead of 3rd place. Next game against 4th place, 11th place, 1st place and 3rd place, what a run in.

And also for a fee that recoups a lot of what we paid for him, which should give us a bit of leeway on the recruitment side.

Look on the bright side, if they don't go up, I reckon he could do a job in League 1.
