Hound quick scout round suggests he is pretty tall. player of the season for Wimbledon the year before last, had a nasty case of pneumonia last year. Had a fair bit of interest in the summer, so not quite sure why he ended up at Crewe, or why he has left them.

Its not a bad player to take a look at on paper

I'll tap into my womble contact to see what he thinks.

Alright, would take him back, don't expect the world but can do a job.

fair enough. Maybe one for if we go down, or cheap cover if we stay up

Couldn't get much more detail. Asked about pace, strength at set pieces and in air but couldn't really remember... thought he might have a bit of pace. That's a key for me.

Just hope Ince can sort a few things out.

We obviously all know about the set pieces. That's been going on and really obvious for ages. But we seem to be conceding a lot from one CB charging out to follow the striker going deep, leaving a huge hole behind, recently. Desperately need the CBs to be able to hand off to midfield or have their team mates drop back, tuck in and cover them if they have to go.

Drinkwater and Laurent have been abysmal on the defensive side of their game at times this season.

If Derby get expelled from the league would their players all become free agents? If so, do you think we could pick anybody up from them as their current wages will be low.

Dorsett back from Rochdale? Seems to be a regular.

He can’t be recalled as I understand things.

By the way anyone have any feedback from Rochdale fans on how he’s done there, has he stood out or just done OK?

Guess it might've been possible in Jan, but certainly outside of the transfer window, I doubt it would be possible at all.

If it's cover, then he will do. If he's anything else, I'll be worried.

Bit up and down from what I've read. World beater one week, utter donkey the next.

We can only sign free transfers if they were released before the end of the window.

Has Hein gone back to Arsenal, and if so, can we sign an emergency back up keeper or would it have to be a free agent?

Can't you only do an emergency keeper loan if you have no senior players fit? We have Southwood, and possibly the missing Andresson too. I expect we could argue Holden and CBC etc don't count... but still

Yeah, there's no way we'd be able to sign an emergency goalkeeper, pretty sure even if you were being super generous, Southwood and Andresson would both count as senior goalkeepers no matter how you try and spin it.

Millsy What's Andresson like. Worth a shout? Big lad.
started with rave revues at Morecambe whilst on loan…then let a load in and all but lost his starting place.
Seemed to be well liked within their set-up

Ince on bringing in free agents:

It’s tough. It’s tough for everyone because of the embargo and where we are. You’re looking at players on a free and the players you’re looking at on a free haven’t played for eight/nine months so it can take two months to get them to where you want them to be and the season is already over. It might be a case of this is what we’ve got, this is good enough if we do things right in the right way, and that’s it. If something jumps out at us then great but there’s nothing jumping out.
