Obviously very early days, but I'm wondering if our league position has suddenly made us a lot more attractive than we were a month ago. Luongo, for example, was on trial when we could barely put a team together.

Nah, it's definitely putting people off.

Have been told that's why the Hutchinson deal has fallen through. Wants more of a challenge.

Hound Luongo would make sense. Thought we may look at Bryan. Solid Cham lb

Is Joe Bryan available on a free? Wages could be a stumbling block with that one.

Luongo would be a good signing, would give us good experience and seems like he'd fit into our midfield well and would compete for a place in the team, just another solid option to have on the bench. Hopefully he's a relatively cheap deal as well.

Definitely available. Imagine loan though

Would definitely take him if we were able to get him on loan for the season, would be potentially someone we could pick up for free the following summer as well when his contract is up if he impresses and wanted to stay, so could be a good move all around really.

If the LB is going to be a loan, which looks likely, I'd be happy with either Rahman or Bryan - as Bryan would be a realistic signing next summer.

Rahman will all depend on Chelsea and wage demands etc but he'll want to perform to make the WC and the thought of having both Ghanian full backs bombing on is a pretty enticing one.

On Saturday, Ince said he expected to have news on an incoming LB by today, so guess we'll hear something more concrete soon - be great to have a name confirmed before the match tomorrow.

Can't hurt can it. Also with Luongo, a positive of the move, if it happens - is that Hutchinson will know him well and having been here am sure Ince/Bowen et al will have been asking all the right questions of him to see if he will be a good fit to the squad especially given he won't necessarily be a starter but if we can get him tied down to 2 or 3 years, it at least means we have another midfielder under contract.

JLow tweeting that we are hopeful of completing a deal for a LB today - would strongly suggest a loan, and may want them in to be available for tomorrow night.

Luongo interst is genuine but not quite as close as the Mail suggested - as a free agent, we are not tied to signing him by Thursday night - only loans have to be done by then as well as any outgoings.

BBC say that 3 Champ Clubs are in talks with Fulham for Joe Bryan - so very possible we are one of those.

Hopefully we are - if the LB we end up signing is Bryan or Rahman, I'd be pretty happy with that all things considered.

Expecting to see Baba in today, Luongo later this week and one or both of those trialists - possibly depending on if we loan out someone like Jamari Clarke

And that’ll be a very good summer

Ross Barclay's available on a free.
If you take this post seriously, you're a moron
Could maybe do a job in midfield.

Yep, and we could even afford to pay him for a week or maybe two

Which bit suggests he would play for free … or even a wage we could afford ?

Not sure how you missed the bloody great bit in the middle when quoting Franchise, unless FDTW is playing silly buggers and added it later.

Bit of a cheap shot, but really?

Its a fair cop, it was a cheap shot but I never expected someone like Franchise to fall for it. And no, I didn't add it later, it would have shown up as an edit.

Just seemed a change to the wink emoticon at the time.
