Snowflake Royal Injured would be disappointing.
Dropped would show very poor management from Ince.

Yes he wasn’t good at boro, but who was, and he tore Blackpool apart.

I get Ince didn’t want to play wide forwards so not starting him, but dropping him if he wasn't injured is just stupid.

Ince on Meite: "He's injured. Not sure what it's going to be, three, four weeks. That's another blow to us. He was just finding his feet and playing well."

A big potential source of goals gone for us then, good thing there is an International break coming so he doesn't miss a game or two in that period. Could use him back for the Easter fixtures though.

Another injury. After about 1 half decent game in 2 years. Definitely time to part ways

Watch him be injury free and fire them in elsewhere.

Yes, there comes a time and he is a shadow of his former self.
As Ian says, expect him to thrive elsewhere if we let him go as has happened with that other pair of crocks (for us) McCleary and Obita albeit at a slightly lower level.

Not helped by management that don’t seem to have a clue where to play him.

At his best he was an asset in any of the front 3 positions. He just isn’t the player he was sadly

Nah, never a good traditional striker. And showed what he can do against Blackpool with barely any game time to get up to speed. Bowen recognised it, surprising he hasn't had a word with Ince.

He still always contributed though as a CF. Remember him having some very good games there, and obvs where Clement first noticed he had something about him

Tbh Blackpool consisted of a couple of decent runs with a poor end product. He had the beating of the full back but that’s literally the first time I’ve seen him do that since the big injury

Barely played wide right since then.

Meite has never been great up top. Said it from the outset. Doesn’t have the touch or intelligence to hold it up and bring others into play, and falls to the floor too easily, ball always ended up coming straight back at us. Could do a job in a two but needs someone with a bit of guile alongside him, certainly not Puscas or Joao! Which is why I think he could have worked well with Long up there

Credit to him though, became a very good option off the right hand side which is not something I envisaged after his first 6 months of regular football here. Been a big miss with the constant stream of injuries in the last couple of seasons

The reliable Scouts in Attendance Twitter account (https://twitter.com/scoutsattending/status/1648244888062894081) reported we had a scout at the recent Ross County vs Aberdeen match. Unsure who we would have potentially been watching.

Wondering if it was Angus MacDonald who now plays for Aberdeen on a short term deal to the end of the season?

Reading and Ipswich being linked with a host of other clubs trailing the services of 29 year old Scottish Livingston right back Nicky Devlin. Has previously played in England with Walsall. He is unrelated to the other one time Reading linked target of Paul Devlin.

Gillingham (probably along with a host of other clubs too) want to sign Luke Southwood in the summer. Presume Reading will offer him a deal of some kind to be sure they'll get some compensation after he came through the Academy.

Do we have an option of a further year with him or am I imagining that?

It was reported that we have decided against triggering the 1 year extension, so assume he will just move on with our best wishes. As he's 25 now, we wouldn't be due any comp anyway.

He is - Hearts apparently leading the race.

Not sure we will need a RB unless Yiadom moves on as don't see the point in blocking Afreba's development unless the plan, if we stay up, is to send him out on loan for a year.

I’m visualising that ‘race’ as something similar to the dads race at a primary school sports day
