I'd be disappointed if Laurent comes back. He was awful for us last season and part of a team that almost got relegated and should have been relegated

Though he looked his best last season after Ince arrived as manager so perhaps things would work out better for him.

"should have been relegated"

Give your head a wobble mate.

If Derby and Reading had both got their deducted points back last season then Reading would have finished 22nd on goal difference (-33 compared to Birmingham's -25) but whose to say the end of season results would have worked out the same if that had been the case ?

Well quite. A moot point really, as none of that came to pass. We stayed up.

What would have happened if West Ham weren't allowed to sign those two illegal signings? Sheff Utd would have stayed up etc etc etc.

We played our part in being in the position we were in, to stay up. That took a whole season.

Quite

Convinced Derby wouldn’t have done nearly as well without the points deduction too - football is a lot different with no pressure which Derby had being far behind

I thought it was quite telling that when Derby managed to put themselves back into a recoverable position, they struggled for results again before ultimately drifting away

Why do you want us to be relegated Jimmy?

Why are you so sad we weren’t relegated Jimmy?

Was better when Ince put him further forward. He was awful in a more defensive role. Constantly had his pocket picked because he never scanned over his shoulder and had zero awareness of players behind him.

Laurent starting, scoring and I think also captain today for Stoke

It’s pretty unlikely this isn’t it?

Scored a cracker as well, with this lad supposedly on his way from Chelsea I'm not sure I can see it happening.

Indeed, looks like we'll carry on paying for the Chelsea youth farm.

Still think we should look forward and not back. I wouldn't want Rinomhota back either

Happy to sign Chelsea youngsters if they are better than what we have

Except that we’re not paying, that’s sort of the point

Only if they're all completely free. Which I don't believe.

Not just that, but also a vitally important goal at Barnsley as well. So his goal contributions went a long way to help keeping us up.

Yeah well we know why karbota doesn’t like him. But other than a 3 month period or so he really was pretty good here

Yes - and late goal at Barnsley pretty important
