South Coast Royal
Uke
South Coast Royal Haven’t seen the latest postings so may have already been said but from afar in Spain this morning word is that Wilder has agreed to join but Bowen has had had a change of heart and prefers supposedly better candidates!!!

?
Glenn Hoddle, Lawrie Sanchez?

Serious Uke?
With oldies like Warnock and Hodgson having some success last season the call for experience over potential may be how we will go and Wilder would have been one to fit the bill.
So, are Martin O’Neill and Redknapp waiting in the wings along with Curbishley ?
I still have a feeling that if it is not Nathan Jones it might be Karl Robinson especially if there is to be such a thing as a long term project.

Yes, Wilder, it's a good choice.
Are you sure about Robinson?

Here we can witness the Twitter lot calling the social media manager a pcunt because we haven't signed a manager yet.

Give it another week and it’ll be the same on here, lol.

This is Reading, we'll stick to sending Tweets even at the stage that the club drop into the non-leagues and still without a manager.

There are all sorts of reasons for delays in getting a manager officially appointed. It may be that who the club are seeking is embargoed until 1st July as part of a payment settlement with a previous club. It may be down to difficulties with paperwork, it may even be down to part of the new management team are away on their holidays and just can't be contacted or brought in to sign any paperwork. Of course it may also be down to a clueless club actually scouring the reaches of some obscure division somewhere in the world for the next Jurgen Klopp. The full story will become clear at some point but rest assured the journey for us mug punters in getting there, really isn't any fun, relying as we are, essentially, on people claiming to be in ITK sending a tweet once and a while.

Most likely though the bloke who we want is biding his time to consider all options he may - or may not - have before uprooting his family and all that involves.

Has been mentioned we have ‘decent money’ to spend. I guess we can’t do that until the 1st so maybe the manager being announced is similar. For we know, he’s ‘in charge’ now but isn’t official

The embargo ends June 30th, what exactly is there to pay for? And then we have the Puscas money which helps us next season. If Wilder can't commit soon we should move on to someone who has the enthusiam for the job.

Surely they have to be able to read the room, the club surely can't wait until July 1st to make the announcement? "We have agreed a deal for Chris Wilder to become manager of Reading Football Club, this will take effect from July 1st"

That is no different to every club signing a player. The contract gets signed and they don't officially become a player until July 1st. Same with the manager. We can announce what we like now, but he's not on the pay-roll until July 1st, so that cannot be a reason for any delay.

OK then, we'll have another 3 weeks of this "not knowing" then the club will call a press conference for early July to make everything official. As suggested perhaps new bloke is in and working and functionally the club is getting some playing targets together which will also not be revealed until July although the standard rumours may well start appearing as July arrives. Just 22 days of this limbo left, suggest all going on holiday now for a couple of weeks or so.

Did he? Are you thinking of the right person?

I know he's not andrew, but I thought they'd both gone a bit off the rails. Could be wrong.

It's not. This is all fan speculation. Bowen hasn't repeatedly said he wants Wilder and he's confident he'll sign. So it's nothing like it.

Pepe the Horseman Sounds like made up bollocks to me.

Nobody knows.

Oli "ITK" Bryant said yesterday that Bowen was having 2nd thoughts. Now it's still the embargo. Alan Nixon reporting that it's still in Wilder's court.

Nobody knows. I think we can say with certainty that he was our no. 1 choice and serious negotiations have happened. Why it's not completed is up to speculation.

A bunch on self proclaimed ITK twitter accounts all copying each other but pretending they are the ones to know. None of them actually knew anything at all though.

This.

Let’s be honest no one is really ‘ITK’ especially on Twitter or on generic ad filled unusable local newspaper websites
