One of our clients, Stop the train, a marketing and PR company in London, are currently in talks with Reading Football Clubs with a view to a possible takeover from chairman John Madejski.

Stop the train were last week granted access to the club's accounts and it is expected a bid will be made in the next week.

So there's no need to pull the emergency cord then?

Ok, I have no concrete rumour for you, but it's sure to be more than 99. 9% of the kids stuff you read on here.
We (MLS) have a very good relationship with Reading and Fulham in the EPL and both clubs are keen to land our young star Freddy Adu. All I can gather right now is Reading lead the chase as he has already had a visit to the magnificent Madeksji Stadium and met with Nick Hammond, John Madeksji and Steven Coppell.
Reading were also linked with striker Johnson but wont meet the MLS signing fee asked for.

The Landon Donovan to Reading rumour looks to be true (almost, at least in the works true). Donovan is the captain of the US team (fmr Bayer Leverkusen player) and will be teaming with Beckham in LA this summer _ but not for long. After pairing the two for a month, they've agreed to ship him off. His agent has been shopping him around Europe, focusing on England, and appears to have found a buyer, with Reading looking to replace Sidwell. It will be a 4m (a record buy for Reading, a record sale for the american league) transfer. should be announced by mid–late–July, in place by mid–August.

Well done - that one sounds quite convincing; bet it'll be in the Daily Shit by the end of the week.

It's similar to a tarnsfer target if that's any help.

Was that Lando McDonovan rumour pulled from the future? Last anyone saw Beckham he was in Madrid. How could he and Donovan have been paired for a month. An how the hell could Lando be a replacement for Sidwell?!?

Ah, things are becoming clearer.

The guy from West Ham with the Tardis has obviously used it to go into the future as well as the past.

Reading FC transfers

Reading are hoping to complete a double signing in the coming days with Kevin Mirallas and Mathieu Debuchy both joining from lille for a believed combined fee of £8m. Reading also want to bring Tom Soares to the club, he has strong links to the town as he was born there and his brother Louie used to be a Reading player. Reading are also looking at Cardiff's Joe Ledley and newly promoted Derby's Dean Leacock.
Hayden Mullins will NOT be joining nor will koumas.

On the way out of the madejski will be:
Shane Long on a seasons long loan to Leicester
Stephen Hunt to Villa
Alan Bennet will move to Derby as part of the leacock deal
Sam Sodje will make his move to WBA permanent

Sulky Hyeon is set to sign for FuLOLham for £2m, leaving Reading fans in a state of laughter.

wish tossers would stop saying this rubbish
seol will not leave, he is too good, and is too important to our revenue raising ability in the far east
plus i tip him to do well in his second season, like drogba!!!

Reading boss Steve Coppell has told Stephen Hunt to forget about being offered a new contract.

But Coppell has told the 25 year old former Crystal Palace and Brentford midfielder he will have to wait for a new deal as he only signed a two-and-a-half year contract back in January.

"We can't continually give players new contracts. We'd be doing 20 of them every year," Coppell told the Reading Chronicle.

"If someone's contract is not in line it's not often they come to us, we usually go to them first.

"We do things by rotation which unfortunately means some people are happier than others.

"But Stephen Hunt still has two years left, the same as most players here.

"It doesn't matter what the rumours are about other clubs looking at him. We don't control the situation but there are contractual agreements in
