If it disappoints then stay off unreliable football sites.

that site just collects sources from all other links, saves a lot of trawling around, anyway who is to say what sites/newspapers are reliable/unreliabe

Most are unreliable.
If what they say disappoints you then stay off them.
They merely aggregate the rubbish spouted elsewhere so ignore them because we know any signings we make are as likely to be totally unforeseen as the ones on the kiddy sites.

Exactly so why be disappointed or elated by any rumours. Wait until they are facts.

I thought Mensah was meant to be very good? Edman has Premiership and top european experience, I don't really know about the other lad.

Are these players better than those we already have? IMO it is very likely, if you go through our squad naming the premiership quality players then you don't end up with a whole lot (Kitson, Doyle, Lita, Sonko and Shorey was all I could think of).

A bit more on Mensah... (oh and yes I expect he does have his own thread)

On 28 September 2006, Stade Rennais website wrote an interesting article about John Mensah impact on his new team since his acquisition. It said - The summary from 11 February 2006 to 28 September 2006 is very impressive: 18 games: 12 wins, 5 draws, 1 defeat. 12 conceded goals, 4 of them when Mensah was not on the field. Rennes conceded 0.66 goals per game with Mensah. Without Mensah Rennes had 6 games, 0 wins, 1 draw and five losses. 13 goals were conceded, making 2.66 per game.

As it seems likely that Shorey will leave in January signing an experienced international left back like Edman can't be that bad?

Surely signing a steady experienced left back is a must if Shorey is going? Hopefully Goldbourne will come good in a couple of years!

Plenty of our signings come out of the blue.

And even if they don't the fact that these micky mouse sites have reported some names is not really the basis on which anyone should get upset. Ignore - they are meaningless.

How many players have we been linked with on these various sites in the last 12 months and how many have we actually signed.?

So you saw the signings of Bennett, Fae and Cisse coming? Wow, you must have special powers. Reading are a club who don't do transfers in the papers. Every one that comes up is almost always rubbished straight away.

The Bennett transfer was to an extent done in the papers as Cork haggled for, and got, a relatively high fee. This was quite drawn out.
The Fae transfer was rumoured for a long time before it happened, partly because we tried to sign him earlier.
Cisse was, I think, "out of the blue".

Who needs any of them? Mr. Brown is back, and played his first game this week.

He's got international experience for England after all.........

Would that be the same Mensah that we were after a while back and who turned us down...

No it's the Mensah that wanted to talk to us but whose club rejected our bid as he'd only just signed a permanent deal with them.

How about the Three Musketeers or a few Knights on White Chargers. About as likely as this lot.
