by Coppell's Right Footed 11 » 19 Jul 2008 11:23

Well i mentioned the Brian Howard and Carlos Edwards rumour even though they were a load of made up rubbish i feel they are two players who could fit the mold of our team.

These are the most likely in my opinion, ala Leroy in 2005. Id be extremely happy if we signed McLean or Garner.

Looking at that, I actually think we could do a lot worse than Raziak as a replacement for Kitson. Experienced, decent record at this level and still something to prove after his Tottenham debacle.

Are we still showing an interest in that young lad from Hamilton?

To be honest, I'm not too sure Championship clubs will sell there best players to us as they will see us as there main rivals this season. Birmingham will not sell Cameron Jerome to us and I very doubt Palace will with Watson either.

Coppell will be looking into the lower leagues like he has done before and it has proved very successful. He may also look at loans from the Prem which will be very good aswell.

One name, however that does stand out for me is Kris Boyd from Rangers. Tall striker, target man who has a proven record for goals and will definatly be out of favour at Rangers this term with Walter Smith buying three new strikers and only using one striker upfront in the system that he plays. Could easily afford him with the Kitson fee aswell.

I think you can take McLean off of that list tbh. Didn't Wolves get a bid of around £3m turned down as Peterborough wanted £5m? There is no way we would spend that kind of money on someone who isnt proven above league two level.

He'd go to another Prem team or a big Championship team IMO.

hmmmmmmm. Not sure of your point there. Chelsea wouldn't want Roberts as he isn't good enough for them. Not sure why you plucked Chelsea out of the air either?!?!

I'm very bemused by this Chelsea thing going on.

Surely we should be discussing the likes of Doncaster Rovers instead.

Okaka of Roma should be avalible on loan. Handy target man, not good enough for Roma's first team yet. Not sure if he'd leave Italy though.

What about Eric Obinna Chukweynsomethingorother?
